[Review] Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Rice

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Rice Review:

I believe everyone loves waking up to a bouncy, soft and bright skin. That is why people often looking for a product that can work on their face while they are sleeping and the answer is a sleeping pack! Innisfree eventually came up with a travel-size product called the Capsule Recipe Pack. This product comes in two types, wash-off pack and sleeping pack. They also offer 12 variants which have different functions.

On several K-Beauty website, this capsule recipe is a bit hard to get. Several variants might be out of stock or either sold out. I eventually got mine from the grand opening of Innisfree store in my city at the end of April for around 3 dollars. At that time I was really excited when I saw that the rack was full with all of the twelve variants of this capsule recipe pack. I chose the one that is used for brightening which is the Rice variants and it’s a sleeping pack. For your information, this is my first time using a sleeping pack and was excited and curious to see the result.

This is also my first Innisfree capsule recipe pack that I tried and I completely in love with the result that I got from this sleeping pack. They repackaged this product last year for the sake of convenience in a smaller and lighter tube. So let’s review this product!

“The brightening massage sleeping pack with rice to clarify your skin”. It is said that the product is a skin brightening care with rice ingredients (containing 1,000ppm of rice extract). It also claims to have a stimulating, concentrated texture and can softly absorbs into the skin.

The new packaging of the capsule recipe pack has a lid and a foil under it. The sales girl told me that I could use this product up to 4 times. She gave me a tips to not completely remove the foil and keep the product in the refrigerator for future use. Under the tub, there is a label containing some information about the claim, how to use and the ingredients written in English. I can say that the packaging is very convenient especially since the product could be used several times. The previous packaging doesn’t have a solid lid to it which makes it not so travel-friendly.

When the first time I opened this, I thought the amount of the mask would be full or at least fill ¾ of the tub. But it was actually only half, a bit disappointed but, I guess Innisfree came up with a bigger size of this variant which probably have more product inside.

Until I wrote this review, I already used this pack for 4 times already and I still have some product inside the tub which can probably be used for one or two times more for the whole of my face. I do not use this sleeping pack religiously, but then I used it once every one or two weeks since April.

The texture of the mask is quite creamy with some rice clumps in it. It is very easy to spread this mask on my face. The thing is that this mask is a bit sticky.

I usually only put up a thin-even layer before I sleep because I basically do not like anything “too heavy” on my face when I sleep (that is probably why I can use this sleeping pack for more than 4 times). It turns into a translucent mask once I spread it on my skin and I can feel this mask give some moisture to my skin.

Meanwhile, the scent of this mask is very sweet yet calming but a bit strong. It fits my liking but actually afraid that ants might come on my face while I am asleep because how sweet the scent is even though it is impossible to happen. I never know a rice could smell this sweet just like candy.

When using this mask, I try to sleep on my back until morning as this mask does not dry up very fast. It might rubs off to my pillow if I move around when sleeping. It would not be a great idea if I waste the product on my pillow and it might make the pillowcase dirty.

In the morning, I would see the mask absorbed to the skin but I could feel the product was still there on my face and left the tiny rice clumps. Then I rinsed the mask with tap water and my skin got that natural glow and looks visibly brighter. Not only my skin getting brighter, it also made my pores less visible as well. Since the mask was a bit creamy, my face felt a little bit sticky for a slight moment after rinsing it.

After all, I like this product and how it lived up to the claim and show immediate result (even though it is not a permanent one). It did not cause any break outs on my oily face but I think this pack would suit people with dry skin better (it does not mean people with oily skin type might dislike this product though!).

This product eventually made me want to try to the other variants of the sleeping pack because of its impressive result and I do consider to repurchase this capsule or probably will just purchase the bigger size version!

  1. Hello, Im from Indonesia. Pardon my english ^^
I very interested with this product, before, I always use Laneige water sleeping pack. Now, I want to try this product. But, can this capsule be a night cream too? Like, it can use for every night, everyday?

    • Hey! No worries, I understand ehat you are saying 🙂 I’m Indonesian too by the way.

Unfortunately I never tried Laneige Water Sleeping Pack… So I couldn’t really compare those two. I couldn’t say it is suitable to be called night cream since it doesn’t dry up but stay on your face until you wash it. It is said in the instructions to use it once every two days but I guess it will be okay to use it everyday 🙂

      • Waaah, coool!
        Im happy you’re Indonesian..
Thank you for the replay, then I must try this immediately. I need brightening mask that suitable for my combination sensitif skin
