[REVIEW] Innisfree My Lip Balm Rose Tea Wanna One Edition Ha Sungwoon

Innisfree My Lip Balm Rose Tea Wanna One Edition Ha Sungwoon Review:

Getting my hands on this product was extremely hard. To get it you had to preorder it however, only people living in Korea could preorder- and I live nowhere near Korea. I would google the product daily because I had to get it. To my surprise, one day an online shopping site started selling these and I finally got one.

I wanted to buy this lip balm no matter what the cost would be. I also had no idea about the product itself except of the Wanna One members on them, which is the reason I got so passionate about getting it. You see, I’m a HUGE fangirl and my bias is no one other than Ha Sungwoon, a member of wanna one and hotshot (my favorite band yay! Listen to their music and you won’t regret it).

Claims:

+ Colors, scents and names were chosen by Wanna one members (I highly doubt that).

+ By using this product, you can gently tint your lips a different, natural color.

+ The balm is moisturizing and cares for the lips by making soft and moisturizing.

It’s a mixture of refreshing fruit and tea scent (yes!! For the tea! I’d probably buy this even without my bias on it!).

+ Infused with sunflower oil, cupuacu butter, jojoba oil which delivers rich moisture.

Packaging:

Should I really talk about this? This is the best packaging a product could have for me. The. Absolute. Best. The box is super cute and the tube is also super cute, I also really like the material it’s made of however, it’s very inconvenient. To get some product out, you REALLY have to squeeze and the tube’s shape becomes the way you pressed it with your fingers (oh poor sungwoon’s face).

The applicator at first looks very good- and is doing its job greatly, I never use my fingers to apply the product because the applicator is very good but there’s one tiny problem. Because of the product’s consistency and the shape of the applicator, the tip always gets dirty. There’s always some balm on it. Mine is no longer white but pink haha.. I don’t mind that much but I’m sure some people will not like that.

Performance:

Smell:

It took me quite a bit to understand what the smell reminded me. When I finally understood, I had an aha! Moment. It smells just like rose lokum (Turkish delight), or rosewater. The smell is faint and you can’t smell it when it’s on your lips. On another note, its taste is great, it simply tastes sweet, no particular favor- if that makes any sense.

Texture:

Very thick, but not in an annoying way. At first, I saw it and thought: ”wow, this product really is a scam”. It’s not a scam at all. The product ”melts” on the lips and it spreads like heaven. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear, unlike most lip balms that just feel like a layer of petroleum. This one feels like it’s part of your lips- and I love it.

Feel on my lips:

You’d think that because of its thickness, it’d be very heavy on the lips but it actually isn’t like that. It’s very light. It simply feels like you put on a very thin lip balm, way thinner than this one, no matter how much you use. Particularly, after you eat something, you don’t feel it at all, even though there’s still color on the lips.

While wearing it, my lips are moisturized and they instantly stop being dry. That lasts for a couple to three hours but the moisture stays for way longer.

Color and lastingness:

Thankfully, this is a tinted balm that actually has some pigment. I’m saying that because so far, most of the balms I’ve bought that were supposed to be tinted, were let downs. The color is like a vivid version of my original lip shade and I love it. The shade of lip balm without wanna one members is called dried rose tea.

The true shade doesn’t come out as soon as you apply it on your lips; after about half an hour, it’s like the product works based on your lip’s pH to become a unique shade. To sum it up, it’s more pigmented after some time passes from when you first apply it.

I feel like it stains my lips but I’m not quite sure. The sure thing is that the color lasts longer than I expected. Also, it looks very pretty. Furthermore, the thing that differentiates this from tints is that it leaves no color on glasses when you drink water, it does leave some product but no color, the color is safe on your lips.

Overall:

This balm is a perfect alternative option for lip tints. Personally, this shade is very similar to my lip’s natural shade but while wearing the balm, I get an upgraded version of that. It’s great for when you’re going for the no makeup look of for when you are worried about your lips drying because of the tint. It’s a great 2 in 1 product, it’s a balm and a tint, could I ask for more; it even has my bias on it! This product was made for me!

The amount is a lot, most balms and tints are less than 5ml, I believe this product will last me quite a lot- even though I use it A LOT. Therefore, the price to product ratio is good, even though at first it looks way too expensive (well, I did pay 20 euros for a lip product, the old me is probably judging very hard).

  1. Glad to know that you finally ‘got’ your bias on your hands.
This is also my favorite lip balm nowadays as it works amazingly. It’s one of the best lip balm I’ve ever tried! And I don’t want to think twice to buy another color as you said it doesn’t leave any color on glasses. The color is pretty on your lips, I may buy this shade or the shade #10 when I finish mine.
