Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream Review:
As the weather is getting colder, my skin has been getting drier. And for being someone who has dry skin even in the summer months, I’m pretty desperate to find a moisturizer/cream that will absorb into my skin and keep it moisturized. Innisfree is probably my favorite roadshop brand in South Korea as the products are effective and are not too expensive. This is one of the reasons why I picked this product up! I’ve also been hearing amazing things about the orchid line from popular beauty YouTubers and bloggers, so I was pretty excited to test it out.
According to the Innisfree website (and the back of the jar), this cream claims to be an anti-aging cream that smooths out wrinkles, strengthens and brightens your skin as well as nourishes.
The main ingredient of this cream are Jeju orchids, which are packed with antioxidants. This is great because antioxidants neutralize your skin and help reverse the damage that was a result of the sun, pollution and other sources.
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Squalane, Arbutin, Phenyl Trimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Adenosine, Orchid Extract, Tangerine Peel Extract, The green Tea Extract, Prickly Pear Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Pea Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Phenyl Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Sodium Chloride, Ethylhexylglycerin, Kaolin, Polysilicone-11, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance (Jeju Orchid Extract 250mg).
There is also a list of ingredients that this product does not contain (taken from the Innisfree website), which include:
Parabens, animal-originated ingredients, mineral oil, synthetic colorants, and imidazolidinyl urea.
Volume: 50 ml
How to use:
Put a small amount of the cream into your hand and apply it around your face. Make sure you avoid your eye and mouth area. If your skin is feeling extra dry, feel free to apply another thin layer of the cream.
I use this as the last step of my skin-care routine.
My skin type: Dry, acne-prone
Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream Review:
I’m one of those who changes routine around on a daily basis depending on what I think my skin needs that day. But this cream has been a staple of mine for the last 3 months.
To be honest, I had a few bad experiences using some skin care products from Innisfree including the Green Tea line and some Bija products, but I have to say, the orchid line has been pretty impressive.
At first, the cream is pretty thick in texture, which usually makes me a little uneasy about the product. I sometimes break-out a bit when I use new products, so I’m usually pretty careful. However, because I heard such amazing things about it, I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did!
I usually use a lotion and a cream to cap off my daily routine. I find that both the lotion and cream were doing different things for my skin, but in terms of this product, I only need to use this one to see the results I’m looking for.
It moisturizes my skin and gives it a good base for make-up in the morning and it’s also enough to keep my skin hydrated throughout the night.
I also have to mention that I love the scent! I’m usually not a big fan of scented products, but the scent for this cream is not overpowering; it’s subtle and sweet, which I’m down for. It also absorbs really well into the skin and the texture is not sticky at all. It’s very smooth and rich enough for my dry skin.
I highly recommend this product, especially for those who are looking for a decent priced moisturizer. If your skin is oily, then I’m not sure if this specific cream will suit you, but I have read reviews online claiming that it does wonders for oily skin as well.
All in all, the orchid line has not disappointed me and I’m so happy about it! I’ll definitely be looking into a repurchase as soon as I’m finished!
