[REVIEW] Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream Triple Care SPF50+ PA+++

Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream Triple Care SPF50+ PA+++ Review:

One of the key factor to successfully protect your natural skin barrier is to protect the skin from UV rays. Yes, I am talking about sun-protector products. My journey to find the sunscreen of my life has never ended. Now I have to admit my skin is the “super acne-prone” kind of skin. If it does not like a product, it will tell me without any delays. I’ve been through the time that I’ve bought a full size sunscreen after taking good looks at the ingredient list, just to realize that my skin cannot handle it. Of course, I’ve wasted quite an amount of money to learn a lesson that what my skin likes and what it does not.

To sum up, I understand the feeling that people always tell you to put sunscreen on to protect your skin but there are TONS (literally) of products which guarantee to do you good. Where to start now? Well, I am writing this review and hope that it will give you one insight into a skin-friendly sun cream. Having learnt a lesson from the buy-a-full-size-product thing, I decided that I will start with the trial size first. I purchased the mini size 20ml of Innisfree Perfect UV protection cream triple care SPF50+ PA+++ because it was the only kind of product that has mini size available. Don’t you worry. For sure, I carefully checked the ingredient list before buying it. 😉

Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream Triple Care SPF50+ PA+++ Review:

Let’s breakdown my review into 3 main points:

Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream Triple Care SPF50+ PA+++ Review

Texture and scent:

Since this is a physical sunscreen, the texture will be gloopy. However, in my opinion, Innisfree did try to even out the texture so that it will be smoother and easier to apply.

I particularly like the scent of this product. I would describe the scent as something like herbal or flower: really relaxing. The scent will stay on your skin as long as you are wearing this sunscreen.

Application impression:

Again, just to remind you, this is a physical sunscreen. You know what I’m talking about: white cast. That white film covers your face and might turn you into a ghost-like appearance. My skin tone is not bright, even a bit dark. My first application was not pleasant at all. The skin tone of my face and that of the rest of my body were poles apart. It was weird. However, since my skin liked it (no breakouts or zits), I decided to hold on to this little guy.

This time I apply layer by layer and use tapping method instead of using my fingers to spread the product on my face. To be more specific, I first take a small amount, then use my ring fingers and gently tap onto my recently-moisturised skin. By applying the product this way, I reduced the white cast to minimal level and my skin looks more natural. 5-10 minutes after application, I acknowledged that my skin tone is nearly back to its normal state.

Another tip is that once you’ve applied moisturiser and your skin has not completely absorbed everything, you should apply this product at once. Remember the texture is gloopy by nature, and it would obviously easier if you apply the product on a humid surface instead of a dry one. If you want to reapply, I suggest that you put some mineral spray to prepare your skin in advance.

Efficacy:

Innisfree claims that this product will give you 3 benefits, namely: UV protection, anti-aging and whitening.

I did notice my skin tone was brightened a bit (not noticeably) after 1.5 months using it. Regarding the 2 left effects, I believe you can only notice after prolong use. Well, the UV protection could be judged by the fact that my skin was not burned under the sun (so it did help to prevent UVB rays, right?)

Moreover, I really like this effect that the product offers: water-resistant. In the website, they claim that “water-proofing UV protection effect prevents your skin from getting greasy with sweat and sebum during your outdoor activities”. I agree that the product can do this. PERFECTLY. I think this is the one feature that I love most about this product.

My face is free from oily and shiny appearance during the day. There are days I do not need wear makeup and this sunscreen works well as my primer. I just need to apply the sunscreen, some lipstick and draw my brows. Then, I’m ready to go.

Much as I love this, I still want to try on other sunscreens. There are so many goodies out there. However, I will buy one full size product anyway. Just in case I need it or I just want to use it. I really love it.
