A mild ampoule-type essence that soothes and hydrates sensitive skin and fortifies the skin barrier.

Innisfree The Minimum Ampoule Essence Review:
The minimum line, the minimum design. Innisfree kept their word. White sleek plastic, airless bottle with the pump dispenser. The accent is really on the product itself and the point that they sell here is “minimum”.
Texture of the product is transparent, viscous, thin jelly. There is fresh, barely there, pleasant scent. Product is very pleasant to apply to the skin with that almost silicony gliding feeling.
The first time I used it I made mistake and applied two and half pumps on face, and that is really too much. That much product is unnecessary and has just a tad sticky, tacky finish. Avoid that and apply it like a normal person – 1/1.5 pumps.
This product is a true essence. Concentrated with goodies on the ingredients list, but not sufficient moisturizer on its own.
The base of this formula is water. The main players on the list are glycerin (skin replenishing, humectant) and madecassoside – centella asiatica active compound, strong antioxidant and skin revitalizing ingredient. Many benefits of only two ingredients. Others on the list are good old thickeners, non-sensitizing preservatives and all pushed deep into skin with propanediol. Yes, that simple.
But there is something interesting about this formula. Every single ingredient is in business. Meaning it’s working. Working hard. Nothing spectacular on the ingredients list, but it’s working.
When I applied it for the first time, I was in love. It instantly calmed my redness and hushed my skin’s constant complaining.
Two weeks after, and using it in the morning and in the evening, I am still in love. My skin texture is improved as this essence focuses on calming and soothing effects and that pulls the texture effect as well. Fact.
It is a very efficient product. Very. I (unfortunately) had opportunity to test it on my rosacea flare-up. Red, angry rash instantly disappeared when I applied this essence and sealed it with the equally soothing moisturizer. I still cannot believe this happened, as my rosacea doesn’t respond well to any product when it is on the go.
I expected this essence to help other skin care products do their job, merely as the assistant in the routine, but it turned out to be a star. I love to be surprised this way.
If I weren’t this much of a skin care junkie, I would buy the whole The Minimum line and use only that for a while. But I can’t. I love my other bottles and pots too much.
Innisfree The Minimum Ampoule Essence is an excellent product and I highly recommend it to all of you struggling with skin irritations, sensitivity of any kind and compromised skin barrier. This of course is off the table if you are allergic to centella. Or any other ingredient listed here.
