Innisfree Vivid Cotton Ink 06 Light Beige Tulip Review:
I’m sure most of you have heard about the infamous Vivid Cotton Ink from Innisfree. Back then, they only have 5 shades for the collection but they were getting popular and Innisfree decided to add 5 more shades. The first 5 shades are your typical ‘Korean shade’ which are pinks, reds, and oranges but the newer shades consist of various tones such as beige, brown, and terracotta.
I saw a lot of Korean beauty bloggers were reviewing the tints and I can’t lie that the shades are really gorgeous! So when I was at my local Innisfree store, I got a chance to swatch all the colors there and based by the swatch only, I really like it.
This fall, Innisfree once again added 5 more new shades. All the shade has fall vibe with darker tones but since I don’t like dark lip color, I opted to get the lighter shade instead. The price isn’t that high either, if you are familiar to Innisfree then you won’t be surprised by the price.

Innisfree Vivid Cotton Ink 06 Light Beige Tulip Review:
This time, the tint doesn’t come in a recycled paper box like other Innisfree’s lip products but they have more ‘colourful’ packaging since they are packaged in different color for each shades. I really like it though because I can find it easily without having to check the bottom part to see the shade’s number.
It has the usual doe-foot applicator just like their other tints. The shape is flat and wide but I have no difficulty in applying the tint. Thanks to its pigmentation and texture, it glides really smoothly on my lips and it doesn’t emphasis any of my dry patches. I have slightly dry lips but sometimes a tint can emphasis those areas so I’m glad it doesn’t.
The pigmentation is really good, I don’t have to dip more than once to get enough color to cover my whole lips. I do have small lips though so I don’t know if it will work the same with people with bigger or thicker lips.
The shade I got is in 06 Tulip. On Innisfree’s picture, it looks like a deep warm beige but in real life, the color looks more like a neutral beige on me but I do have neutral – yellow undertone so if you have different undertone from me, the color may look different on you.
This type of shade will suit light to medium skin tone the most. On fair skin, it will be a pretty lighter ‘My lips But Better’ shade and on medium skin, it can be your perfect n*de. People with deeper skin tone may find this shade a bit too pale for their liking.
The thing I experienced the most from Innisfree is how their lip products always look different in real life compared to their official pics so if it’s your first time buying Innisfree’s lip product, be sure to swatch it or try to search for detailed reviews so you can see the actual shade. The shade even looks different when I swatch it on my hand and try it on the lips.
Since they call it as a ‘Vivid Cotton Ink’, I thought it will have a velvet finish but I was wrong. The finish is matte but it doesn’t feel heavy like an ‘extra-matte’ finish. When I apply it on the lips, it feels really lightweight and smooth.
It feels like a high-end liquid lipstick you can find on Sephora and I think it’s one of the best lip tints from Innisfree. The soft finish can make your lips look extra soft and smooth!
Not only it feels very comfortable on the lips, it also doesn’t make my lips feel dry after hours of wearing it. It doesn’t have a very good lasting power but it doesn’t peel off my lips.
It fades beautifully starting from the inner part to the outer part of my lips and it doesn’t look patchy. It holds pretty good with eating and drinking but if you have a greasy or oily food, it will wear off really fast. It doesn’t leave a stain so it’s really easy to remove the tint. I used a gentle cleansing wipes to remove it and there’s no color left behind.
If you love matte gradient lips, this tint may be your best choice! It takes zero effort to blend the color so you can achieve the perfect gradient look in just a few seconds. You can blend it either with your finger or a lip brush but I usually just smack my lips together for a few times.
Overall I think it’s one of the best lip tints Innisfree has ever made. I tried so many Innisfree’s lip tints but this one works really well on me, I don’t have to use a thick lip balm before applying this tint because it’s not drying at all. I highly recommend this tint!
