Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner Jet Black Review:
I first bought this eyeliner in Hong Kong back in 2014. I bought it because it’s cheap (it’s cheap everywhere though) and there was a good promotion. Not to mention I love anime and manga, and if I could become the heroine from The Rose Of Versailles with super long eyelashes, then you bet your pants I would!
I will spoil you now and tell you I love it, and have been using it ever since (only used one other eyeliner in between). But you need to know all the good and bad points of it, so, don’t ignore nor buy it just because me (and lots of other people) love it!
Hyper durable water-proof formula, resists tears, water, and sebum. Ultra fine brush tip, for easy strokes, with a 0.1mm wide tip. It’s waterproof, smudge-proof, and washes off easily with warm water. Contains serum ingredients, including collagen, hyaluronic acid, rosehip extract and panthenol.

Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner Jet Black:
You can see here it’s just as thin as any eye shadow brush, or like your common everyday pencil. Which, to a person like me who likes to draw, facilitates a lot! Those (amazing) people who use eyeliners like the famous one from Tony Moly to me are genius because I draw and can’t grab those eyeliners comfortably even if my life depends on it.
The eyeliner is pretty simple in everything regarding its design. I threw the box away a long time ago, but it was basically a plastic trapping the eyeliner and a paper between it, and the paper had the design of the manga heroine.
You can see here the brush tip is separating a little, it is because I’ve been using it for a while. However, and you’ll see later, it doesn’t affect the drawing of the lines at all! Like a traditional oriental painting brush, the ink makes it gather in a perfect triangle as you draw with it.
Here you can see the only information on the eyeliner itself, so if you happen to forget which brush you bought… this can be easily erased with usage, so just don’t forget what you bought!
The actual drawings! That’s how thin you can go with this brush. I have it in Jet Black color, as you can see it’s the blackest black. If you compare the thickness of the thinnest part with my hair, they’re almost the same thickness. Then you can make it thicker just by applying pressure as you please!
If you see the part on the thickest line, there has been some part of the eyeliner ink dispersing. However, I have had no experience of it ever happening on my eye skin.
Does the eyeliner perform as they promised?
It does not wash off with water! Well, cold one anyway. It lasts the whole day. It’s so thin you can just poke it between eyelashes to get a full eyelash look. It doesn’t smudge and it doesn’t irritate my skin even after using the same one for many months.
The only down side is that my eyelids produce an extraordinary amount of oil that accumulates in the corner of the eye, and if I use the eyeliner there it will wash off by itself during the day. It might just be my really greasy skin, but it is not 100% sebum proof. It helps if I apply no sebum powder before (if you apply it after it will make the black less… black).
As I said, I have been using this since 2014 and I have no intention of changing brands because this one satisfies me so much! For a hooded eyelid (mine) it’s very important to have thin eyeliners so I’m just waiting for a 1+1 promotion to get some more.
