[REVIEW] Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick | Double Dare

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Double Dare Review:

A month ago, I remembered that a few Kat Von D products were recently launched in my country (Italy), so I decided to check them out briefly. I already knew Kat Von D products, especially lipsticks and eyeshadows palettes, but I always considered them a bit expensive, so I avoided ordering stuff from the official site for that reason.

There were plenty of testers there of different colors (Vampira, Santa Sangre, Lolita etc) and I tried them all. The shades were amazing and at that point, I thought it was worth it to give it a try at least. I bought Double Dare because it was a neutral color that kinda fits every look and that I was probably going to use A LOT more than bright colors.

Claims:

from the website

o What it is:

A long-wear, high-pigment liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish and all-day, lightweight comfort.

o What it does:

Now in 42 creamy shades, this breakthrough liquid lipstick gives lips long-lasting wear and high-pigment color. Its creamy, color-rich formula glides over lips as effortlessly as a gloss, but dries to a true matte finish that feels weightless all day long.

It’s infused with natural comfort-enhancing ingredients, including vitamin E and sunflower seed so you can flaunt lasting matte color.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Double Dare Review:

Let me say that I’ve always had issues at applying lipstick the right way if there were too smudgy or they didn’t last too long or if I didn’t have the time to use lipliner first.

My lips are not exactly too thick and usually, it’s better to give them a little shape first. Considering that it’s matte, I would suggest scrubbing and moisturize your lips first or they may feel a little dry.

I didn’t have this problem with this lipstick AT ALL. You can just apply it fully, let it sit for a few seconds, pass the second layer and you are good to go. It’s pretty quick. You can eat, drink, go out and everything and it doesn’t smudge.

The packaging of the lipstick is pretty elegant and gothic, I personally enjoy the dark style of the brand and if I was a make- up artist, I would probably invest more money in it.

The applicator is pretty soft and makes it easy to apply it the right way even if you’re in a rush. All the shades are original names and different type of shades, from pink to brown, n*des, orange/red and even black, turquoise, dark purple and grey! Some shades combine together really well and if applied well, it makes your lips look fuller and more defined.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Double Dare Review

I recommend this product to everyone who loves wearing lipstick, particularly matte lipsticks, and long lasting elegant colors or if you enjoy dark, gothic lipsticks.

The only downside is that the applicator goes back into the product right after using it and it might be a little difficult to clean it every time. At this point, it’s better to use a lip brush altogether.

I’ve personally only bought Double Dare for now, but in the future, I’m definitely going to buy new colors. It’s worth to spend 20 bucks for a good quality lipstick that lasts for a long time. The fact that it’s 100% vegan and cruelty -free it’s the cherry on the top.
