Klairs Mid-Day Blue Sun Lotion SPF 40 / PA++ Review:
I have tried some other products from Klairs, (like the Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop & the Supple Preparation Facial Toner) and I am very satisfied with those. Klairs is a well known brand for sensitive skins, which already has my attention, and the luxurious ingredients in this formula totally made me give it a go.
According to the website:
“The Mid-day Blue Sun lotion is a refreshing cream filled with hydration, and has a light, weightless finish without the oily feeling. When applied, it has a subtle glow that transforms into a feathery finish.”

My Skin Type: sensitive & combination skin. I´m 35 years old and I´m still getting pimples and at the same time fighting inevitable ageing issues and fine lines. I need to be very careful with the cosmetics I use, as some ingredients make me breakout or cause dryness and flakiness. My skin is very sensitive to weather changes and it gets dry very easily.
Klairs Mid-Day Blue Sun Lotion SPF 40 / PA++ Review:
As you can see in the pictures, it´s almost over, which means I have used this a lot! I started using it a few months ago and this is my honest opinion about this sunscreen:
I agree with the oily-less feeling, and therefore I would totally recommend this sunscreen for oily skins because it does help to keep that uncomfortable shine under control.
The packaging also states that it is a fast-absorbing light-weight formulation sunscreen. It does absorb very well and overall it sits perfectly on the skin.
It keeps my skin shine-free and prevents it from becoming oily. It also evens my skin tone and covers pretty well redness. I do believe it soothed my skin, when suffered from extra dryness or an unwanted pimple and redness. I also noticed that it helps covering/hiding pores.
The Key ingredient mentioned on the website is Guiazulene : “which acts as a natural dye and boasts soothing qualities. This makes it great for correcting redness and evening out the skin tone”. I must say that I totally agree with these two characteristics.
It also contains Niacinamide which is been proven to significantly improve skin elasticity and appearance.
Another great ingredient is Centella Asiatica , ranked in the top ten herbs known for antiaging properties.
Panax Ginseng Root Extract, is an ingredient made from the root of the ginseng plant and it´is said to help against dark pigmentation, melasma and redness.
No Alochol, no Parfum.
With such ingredients who doesn´t want to try!
It feels like a light creamy mousse that spreads very well onto skin which means I can just put it on, pat it in, and head off. I would say it has a herbal scent, which personally doesn’t bother me at all. Besides, it fades away, it wont stay long.
As I said before, it doesn’t make my skin look greasy, actually I feel like it helps to keep it under control.
It does leave a white finishing so if you´re looking for something lighter that blends better with your skin tone maybe you should not get this sunscreen. I personally prefer this whitening finishing because that allows me to go make-up free. My BB creams also sit well on top of this sunscreen. No sticky feeling after applying, it absorbs fast and sits perfectly.
I wouldn’t say it offers extra moisture but it does help maintaining it. Actually if you are experiencing extra dryness and have dry patches, it will make the dry patches even more obvious
I also noticed it soothes damaged skin. Final result is not sticky at all. So very nice overall!
I will repurchase this sunscreen because it´s great for my sensitive skin. I love the formula and the result. The only con I can see is the price, a bit higher than other Korean brands. But I guess you get what you pay; pricey but worthy.
