[REVIEW] Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream Review:

Wild rose is actually a trademark ingredient for Korres as it is the main ingredient in the first cosmetic formula of the brand. This cream is actually Korres’ first ever product and it is also the first ever natural 24 hour hydrating cream. And on top of all that, it is completely vegan which really makes me happy. This is a product I’ve seen maaany times growing up and it was pretty much impossible to avoid trying it sooner or later so here’s how it works on my skin!

+ The wild rose content actually focuses on the need for hydration and brightness while it also has repairing qualities on fine lines and the unevenness of the skin tone.

+ On top of that, it works well together with the other main ingredients like imperata cylindrica extract, which is responsible for the exceptional hydrating abilities of this cream.

Main ingredients:

Wild rose oil, a natural vitamin c source. It can work great against fine lines and discoloration.

Imperata Cylindrica extract: It can adjudicate on a constant basis the hydration equilibrium of the skin cells. That offers 24-hour long hydration.

Cortex Phellodendri extract: This impossible sounding ingredient is supposed to make the cell regeneration process faster. It is also supposed to improve the texture of oily skin.

Detoxing turmeric extract: This very hyped ingredient in beauty communities strengthens the effects of the cream against discoloration.

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream Review:

Just like all Korres creams, this cream is thick and heavy. The good news is that it is easily spreadable and a small amount is just enough to cover the whole face.

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream Review

It has a matte finish no matter how much you use. After my skin absorbs it, it feels very soft and smooth. I am very confused with this product’s smell. At first it smells like roses but a second later, it smells awful. It’s like an acidic and a sweet side of the cream are constantly fighting each other. The smell doesn’t change while the cream is on the face but I did notice that when I use this cream with the rose oil of the same collection the bad smell goes away and you just smell the roses (even though the oil stinks more).

Even though it feels heavy at first, it doesn’t clog my pores and I feel like everything works as its supposed to on my skin. The company hasn’t put this in the claims for this cream but it has great conditioning abilities. I think that’s because since it’s a Greek brand and the “Greek skincare routine” is simply 1.cleanse, 2.apply cream, this cream is made with the mindset that it’ll provide the skin everything it needs. I could be wrong but this has definitely worked for my skin before I discovered Korean beauty.

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturising & Brightening Cream Review

A thing I’ve noticed has changed by using this cream is that whenever I wake up, there’s an oily layer on my skin. My skin may be oily but it’s not THAT much. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not but I don’t mind. I was really surprised though my skin became oilier, my acne doesn’t get irritated by that nor do I get any breakouts. Maybe this is how my skin is supposed to be and this cream helped to get it back to normal..?

I am not sure but if he case then doesn’t this make this cream magical? Now that I reconsider it, my skin started being oilier ever since I started using this cream so it could be that this cream is conditioning my skin; I guess I’ll have to dig deeper with this one. To stop talking to much, yes, I like this cream. It works nicely on my skin and it doesn’t exactly what I want it to do.

I don’t expect much from creams to begin with, I just want them to seal in the serum and essences I use. So, because I expected this cream to not make any difference on my skin, I can’t say that it’s not good. It does what I want it to do nicely and it soothes out my skin.

I would recommend this to people who have combination skin, closer to the dryer side but also to those who have acne. I don’t know if I’m the only one who always has problems with finding a good moisturizer because they all break me out but it’s worth a try. I think I’ll repurchase this one. I wouldn’t be hesitant if it was a bit cheaper but I’m definitely excited to try the different creams from this brand.
