[Review] Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask Review:

I have really dry lips and all my life I’ve been contented with drug store lip care products to address this issue. While I am not entirely satisfied with their efficiency, I just kept using them. I can’t really complain because honestly, there aren’t too many lip care products available in the market. Imagine my delight when I saw that Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask mini versions are being sold by local online sellers!

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask Review:

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask comes in a cute, pink plastic jar that is quite sturdy. Since I only have the mini size, it doesn’t come with an applicator unlike the regular one. The absence of the applicator is not an issue for me honestly because I just usually use my pinky finger to scoop ample amount of product to cover my entire lips.

I am very used to this kind of application anyway because my only experience with “lip sleeping mask” is the smallest tub of petroleum jelly which sits at my table prior to this one. Now I feel like I’ve been living under the rocks for ages!

You see, I have been using this lip mask every night for about two weeks now and I feel that I haven’t even used half of this tiny jar. This Lip Sleeping Mask is so rich I just need very little amount for my lips. This lip product has intoxicating sweet scent! I don’t usually like heavily scented products but I am making an exemption for lip care. The scent is like a mix of strawberry and cotton candy, sniffing it could easily get addictive!

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask Review

As you can see, the mask itself is of creamy-pink color and it is super rich you could detect tackiness when you apply it. When I first used this product, it felt a bit uncomfortable. Since it has a thick consistency, it feels a little heavier on the lips if I compare it with petroleum jelly or Carmex.

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask Review

My lips are usually chapped, and it could get worse –my lips could get extremely dry that sometimes, it would bleed. Upon application, I thought, it’s basically flavored petroleum jelly, nice marketing right there! However, after few hours of wearing it, I could feel something like there’s some granule as I purse my lips.

Upon checking on the mirror and wiping my lips with tissue, I realized that the texturized “something” that I am feeling is actually dead skin! I was at awe because exfoliation has never been this easy! I mean, I’ve tried exfoliating my lips but I don’t really like the process.

My lips were soft after alright but I also feel that I am doing more harm than good by using lip scrubs. It is so different with Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask because once it is absorbed by your lips you would see that it somehow melts with dead skin cells. It always leaves my lips soft, smooth and really moisturized. I swear my lips have never been this good! I also noticed that it lessened the crevices so my lipstick looks a lot better!

Overall, I am truly, madly, deeply in love with Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask! I would definitely get this again, and again and again. But I would most likely get the mini version because it is more convenient. If I apply it very thinly, it could be daytime lip balm too! Now I don’t say it very often, but… You guys must stop living in dark and try this product if you haven’t!
