Laneige Tin Tint Balm 02 Officially in Love was purchased by Cosmeperks.
Laneige is one of most well-known Korean beauty brand internationally. Not only thanks to their beautiful brand face Song Hye Gyo, but the price and the quality make the brand known as one of best the high-end brands in Korea. I tried their cushion and I have to say it’s one of the best Korean cushions I’ve ever tried in my life.
They keep releasing new products and Nigama offered me the chance to try their latest lip product, the Tin Tint Balm. I picked the shade 02 Officially in love but they have 8 shades in the collection and the shades range from beige, pinks, orange, coral, and even deep purple. I love how they make the shade range since everyone can choose their favorite shade.
In my opinion, the product is not that unique since I’ve seen several brands made the similar product before but since it’s Laneige, somehow I have high expectation because everyone around me loves their lip products and usually their products have good quality.

Laneige Tin Tint Balm 02 Officially in Love Review:
When I saw the price tag, I thought it’s not as expensive as their other lip tints but it’s understandable since this tint has a purpose as a lip balm. But after I saw the product amount, I guess it’s really worth the price since it has 14g worth of product! It’s a very huge amount especially for a lip balm. I think I never seen a lip balm with more than 6g before. Usually a lip balm contains 4 to 6g only.
The box packaging is so cute! I can’t get enough of the lips stamps all over the box and it surprises me since Laneige is not the one to make cute packaging like this. Their packaging usually has more simple and clean image. The box has different colors according to the shade inside so it adds the unique factor.
As its name, it’s truly a metal tin packaging. The size is not too big but it’s not too small either. It is very travel-friendly as it won’t take too much space to store it. When you open the lid, you’ll find a paper separator to protect the tint from dirt but I throw it away since it sticks to the tint.
It has a sweet scent, almost like a strawberry scent and I really like it. Before I opened the box, I can smell the scent but when I applied the tint on my lips, the scent is not as strong as I expected.
The only thing I don’t like from this type of packaging is that I have to use my finger to apply it to my lips. It’s not too hygienic and I have to wash my hand or use a hand sanitizer everytime I want to re-apply the tint. It’s not practical for me but I guess the best way to use it is by using my finger because the warmth from my finger can melt the tint and makes it easy to pick up enough color for my lips.
I got the shade 02 Officially in Love. From the Laneige’s website, it’s a reddish coral shade and it looks so pretty on the advertisement picture. When I swatch it on my hand, the shade looks like a red shade with pink undertone and when I try it on my lips, it shows the pink shade more than the red shade but lip products show different colors on different skin tones so on other people, maybe this tint balm will look different.
The color spread nicely on my lips and it feels very moisturizing! It doesn’t make my lips feel like “oily-moisturizing” but more on the “well-moisturized” side. It moisturizes my lips like my favorite EOS lip balm and I really like it.
The pigmentation is not that good even after I layer it several times but it’s expected from a tint balm because its purpose is to moisturize but the lack of pigmentation makes my lips look naturally reddish and healthy.
The color doesn’t last long (especially after I eat and drink) but the moisture stays for hours, I can say it’s 3 to 4 hours. Not amazing but for a lip balm, it’s pretty good because usually I have to re-apply my lip balm every 2 hours especially when I have dry patches on my lips.
I’ve been using it religiously for 3 days straight and so far I’m satisfied with its performance. Sometimes I found colored lip balm makes my lips feel dry but not with this one. It doesn’t make my lips feel dry at all and it’s another good points for this tint balm.
I recommend it for people who loves natural lip color or want to try a good tint balm. I think it’s worth the price and the quality is better than any other tint balm I’ve tried before. If only the make it in stick shape, I’m sure I’ll get another shade to try.
