Lirikos Marine Energy Night Pearl Lip Mask Review:
I bought this product around one week after I finished my Innisfree Canola Honey Lip Sleeping Pack. I loved it but when I looked for it, Innisfree didn’t sell it anymore in their official stores!
So I confirmed myself in buying literally the prettiest lip mask I have ever seen. It’s so pretty it’s just glitter away of being perfect. Does it perform as well as it is beautiful?
+ Lip Mask with Shea Butter to cure the lips during the night.

Lirikos Marine Energy Night Pearl Lip Mask Review:
There is no information on the package. Well, no useful information that is. And I honestly am not saying this when it comes to English information, I mean every single language.
In Korean they only have this tiny bit of information… about the important ingredients. And the big text you see in the bottom? Is the “stop using if you have any reaction” thing.
On the inside lid there is a note about the important ingredients… again.
I hate it when brands don’t give me enough information. I have to surf internet only to get basic information.
Sorry for the bad photo, I only took it for Instagram. At the time I thought I would like this sleeping mask so much I would fall in love and make a photo session a few days after I first tried it. Obviously that didn’t happen.
But you can see how beautiful it was the first time I dipped a spatula in it!
The color is beautiful and minty, and goes perfectly with the package which is simple and elegant.
Mint is my favorite color, but I didn’t even know that when I bought it! I bought it because I fell for the pearl extract line. My Instagram name does mean “pearl” you know.
You can see how dense it is, just like most sleeping masks, it has my fingerprint lines along the swipe I did there last time!
Even after grabbing such a small amount there is still a minty shade, and it kinda shines like mint highlighter. It’s really beautiful, and the mermaid in me still screams every time she sees the shiny pearl mint lip mask.
This is about the amount I use to apply on my lips when they are healthy, but when they are reacting to something I have to apply a little more around the lips.
Why do I use so much lip mask in one go?
Okay this is where the complaining starts.
It is a lip mask that is so waxy it feels like I’m wax tugging my lips if I don’t apply a generous amount. I hate the waxy feeling. It feels as waxy to me as wood wax, the one you apply with your hands and a rug. Or like the ones from shoe polish.
The Innisfree lip pack (my one true love) felt like honey melting on my lips, and this just feels thick and waxy. Now, I’m very picky with how heavy lip products feel on my lips since I have to keep applying them during allergy season, but I have heard from a normal (slightly dry) lip friend of mine that this lip mask feels nice.
So don’t take my word for the waxy thing and just decide for yourself based on the other characteristics of this product, that’s my advice.
The color is still there after application, but it goes away as soon as the product is spread. But it makes me feel like a mermaid nonetheless.
Even though it is waxy, it is still a lip mask and thus very moisturizing compared to your average lip balm. So I admit I have also used this as a lip balm while at home, only a few times. But very nice like that too!
It smells really nice, sweet and soft, like nothing specific, but definitely a smell worth of a sweet mermaid.
It protects the lips during the night in the generous amount I mentioned earlier, and it moisturizes in a smaller amount than that. But regardless it always feels waxy and sticky. I can live with sticky, but with all this waxy-ness I rather dislike the product.
It has a decent effect, but the Innisfree and Laneige lip masks are even more moisturizing, with a smaller amount all at once, and definitely no waxy feeling compared to this one.
So whereas I will finish this, I will definitely not repurchase it.
Now, my friend who tried this has lips less crazily dry than mine, and thus she uses a smaller amount and can live with all the waxiness (she says she barely feels it).
I will just come straight out and say it, I dislike this lip mask. So I don’t recommend it – not because it’s bad, it just doesn’t match me at all.
