[REVIEW] Mamonde AC Balance Emulsion

Mamonde AC Balance Emulsion Review:

I bought this emulsion mostly because I wanted to try something from Mamonde, since I keep seeing products of theirs but have no idea how they really are. This emulsion and collection attracted me because it contains BHA, Salicilyc Acid (my fav ingredient), this ingredient is known to work effectively against acne and breakouts. It’s basically an exfoliant but not harsh. You have no idea it’s working until you see it on your face!

Even though it might not look like it, this emulsion’s claims are quite a lot. Mamonde promises that this emulsion can:

+ Refresh your complexion by giving instant moisture,

+ Adjust water and oil balance on the skin, to reduce sebum production,

+ Remove dead skin cells gently, to even the skin’s texture (thanks to its content of 100% naturally derived salicylic acid,

+ Unclog pores to reveal a smoother, clearer complexion,

+ Is gentle enough for even people with very sensitive skin types to use,

+ Give moisture to the skin immediately.

After cleansing and toning the face, preferably also after using essence and/ or a serum, dispense 2-4 pumps on your hands and gently dab on the face. Let is get absorbed and then continue your skincare routine.

Mamonde AC Balance Emulsion Review:

As expected from Mamonde’s level and price range, the packaging is great. It feels very thick and sturdy while it’s simple and clean yet very appealing as it has tiny small details. I don’t know if everyone will agree with this but I love it when the applicator of a product doesn’t force too much product out.

Mamonde AC Balance Emulsion Review

This emulsion’s applicator feels perfect as it’s completely up to you how much product you’ll get out. As you press the head, it gets a tiny bit out but there’s a long way to press and you can do it as fast as you want. One full pump is almost enough for my face so I use about one and a half to 2 pumps. Also, the container is larger than most and it feels a bit heavy but I don’t mind.

The texture is thick but it spreads like water on the face. It is not runny at all, it stays exactly where you put it. It has a slight smell, like a certain flower but I have no idea which. It leaves a matte finish but it takes a couple of minutes until it gets fully absorbed.

Mamonde AC Balance Emulsion Review

I personally wait 10 to 20 minutes before I apply a moisturizer/ sunscreen. Furthermore, it’s pretty sticky; when I ”slap” it on my face, I get that bouncy feeling like my skin is very healthy.

It is, indeed, very moisturizing. At first, I used essence, this and moisturizing cream however, now that I am using a serum again, I don’t usually use a moisturizing cream, since its moisture is enough.

I personally don’t use it in the morning of the days that I wear makeup, mostly because I have no time to wait and also because I feel like I apply too many products and my face gets cakey. If I do use It, I don’t use serum or essence.

I always get a great cooling feeling immediately after I spread thin on to the skin. Also, I sometimes mix some of this with toner and soak capsule sheet masks in the liquid. Not the best mask but it feels great and my skin becomes smoother.

Finally, the best and most important part. I used this emulsion with the Skin Watchers Galactomyces Whitening essence and at first, couldn’t tell but as time passed, I realized they both work great together and I feel like the emulsion boosted the essence’s effects. My skin feels very refreshed while using this product. I also feel that my moisture barrier has been ‘repaired’.

I am not sure how you find out things like this but I really feel like my skin is slowly reducing sebum production plus, my acne is slowly disappearing. Yes, you read that right my ACNE is becoming less and LESS!! All I need now is a boost to these two and I might get rid of it forever?!!

This makes me extremely happy, especially since I still have sooo much of this left!! This emulsion does a great job at making my skin brighter, especially on my upper cheek area. Aside from that, it also makes my skin feel softer and the skin areas where I don’t get hyperpigmentation really look flawless except for my forehead.

It doesn’t look flawless however, this emulsion gets rid of the tiny pimples I’ve been getting on it in a single day, pretty great huh? This emulsion really made my skin look and feel healthy.

In case it’s not obvious, I really like this product. I now want to explore Mamonde more since I haven’t tried many of their products. I’d say that this product’s price is a steal. You get a humongous amount from it even though it does not look like it.

I’ve been using it for 3 months now and it still seems half full. Sometimes, I like to mix this with my sunscreen (NOT when I’m about to leave the house), to let my skin breathe more easily.

I recommend this to everyone. I have oily skin but I believe people with dry skin will love this too. It hasn’t given me drastic results yet however; my skin feels healthy and is brighter so I’m satisfied with it.
