[REVIEW] New 2018 Mamonde Camellia Antiaging Flower Lab Essence Mask

Mamonde Camellia Antiaging Flower Lab Essence Mask Review:

Mamonde (which I love) released a bunch of new mask sheets (which we all love) and they are based on flowers (love) and their essences (aaaah) to make it even stronger and more effective. The design is also pretty enough, and I’m very excited! The first one I decided to try was the Camellia one – but not because of the flower, because of the characteristics and claims instead.

+ Emulsion type essence, to give vitality and nutrients to the skin.

+ The mask sheet has a light fit cell formulation. Made with tree pulp and its extracted cellulose the mask is soft and adheres well to the skin for a long time, keeping itself moist and maintaining that condition until the end of usage.

+ Has 2000ppm of camellia extract, filtered three times so that it will absorb quickly into the skin, healthily and powerfully caring for it.

Purified Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Panthenol, 1,2-hexanediol, Polysorbate 60, Cetearyl Alcohol, Camellia Extract (2,000 Ppm), Allantoin, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Acrylate / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Arginine, Adenosine, Sodium Polyacrylate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate / Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate / Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Disodium Edetate, Fragrance

The design of these masks is so pretty that I wish they had an ampoule that looked just like this! Transparent, with flowers floating inside… maybe the brand and product names engraved in the glass, like an old perfume bottle.

The pouch opens easily, not the easiest ever, it’s not like it slides away~ but it certainly opens easily. The flapper in the end isn’t easy to rip out but who cares about that one really.

The mask is neatly and beautifully folded! It also spreads open like a wonder.

(I’m sorry that the photo focused on my glasses TT TT)

The fit isn’t perfect. I feel the eye holes are a little too small, and the mask isn’t so soft it would have perfect adherence. With this really good mask shape, if only the mask fibers were softer it would have perfect adherence and compensate for the weird folds on my cheekbones.

I also don’t care that it lifts a little on my nose… again, a softer sheet would allow for better adherence and thus this part wouldn’t happen.

I do like that the part on the chin folds a little under, and the part on top of the lip is thick so it covers all.

When I first applied the mask there was a slight stinging on the corner of my nose, where my skin was a little more sensitive.

And as soon as the mask was in my hand, before applying, a soft but present scent of fresh flowers filled the room. It never became intoxicating (which is good) and it lasted all the while the mask was on (also good). The perfume is an added fragrance, so with that and the stinging on my nose sensitive skins should stay away from this mask, but it still feels like a pleasant flowery scent for those of us who are okay with added fragrances.

The essence is transparent white, and is dense like an ampoule.

It actually feels like a snail based essence when it comes to texture, those sticky snot strings when you put it between two fingers. Which in Korea means it’s very good elasticity and that you want it on your skin!

As I spread it into absorbance on my arm I could feel it is very rich. And now I wish even more that it would be a real ampoule they were selling separately…

Once it absorbed it left my skin very moisturized and rich in nutrients, but not sticky.

As time goes by and comes closer to the advised ending time, the mask starts drying a little under my nose so I definitely will remove it once the 20 minutes are up.

There is SO much essence left inside the pouch! Guess who is happy right now. Me. Me is happy right now.

I love the way my skin looks, and even more how it feels. It feels like there is nothing missing from it: no lack of moisture, of hydration, of nutrients!

Honestly haven’t felt like this in a long time.

The skin doesn’t feel light and airy, like I just sprayed an awesome mist on my face.

But it does feel everything I said. For an anti-aging mask I must say it’s one of the best in the way it makes my skin looks, and the best in the way my skin feels.

Definitely recommend, since it’s not sticky after absorbing, but I must remind you that it doesn’t feel light afterwards. Feels more like… a complete skin care routine was done.

I have combination skin and sebum-wise it was fine, I can’t swear on oily skin types but definitely give it a try if you want elasticity and nutrients.

Except for the really sensitive skin types, I recommend this for everyone.
