Mamonde Mix & Match Mask Sheet Pore Care Green & Moisture Holding Blue was purchased by Cosmeperks.
This new mask from Mamonde at first looks a lot like the Laneige Two Tone Mask, however it comes with a big difference that makes it better at least when it comes to the concept: you actually choose each of the two parts of the mask – or if you want just top or just bottom that is also okay! Because you purchase each of the parts individually you can pretty much use them however you see fit. Now, I don’t know about quality, but the concept and price of the Mamonde definitely win. So I chose Pore Care for the top part, and Hydration (they say moisture in English but the word they used in Korean was hydration) for the bottom part! Let’s see how it goes.
Pore Care: Cares for the T zone with the Eoseong Cho and Centella Asiatica extract water, balances the skin by reducing the black pores’ sebum and calming the skin texture to give a softer skin. Has a microfiber sheet that adheres to the skin without air pockets.
Moisture: With Daffodil and Ceramide as ingredients this essence helps dry skin and gives it hydration. The mask sheet is cream silk (PT cell 50), that is a soft material that keeps the essence moist for a long time.
Pore Care Green:

Moisture Holding Blue:
Purified Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyglyceryl-3-methylglucose Distearate, Butylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Peg-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, 1,2-hexanediol, Carbomer, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Fragrance, Dextrin, Disodium Iodide, Peony Root Extract, Centella Extract, Narcissus Scaly Stem Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide Miai, Chamomile Flower Extract, Gardenia Extract, Iris Flower Extract, Cornflower Flower Extract
Volume: 14ml (Pore Care), 20ml (Hydration)
How to use:
1. Cleanse and apply a toner.
2. Apply the sheet on the appropriate section of the face.
3. Wait for 10 to 20 minutes.
4. Remove the mask sheet and promote absorption of the remaining essence by massaging or patting the skin gently.
My Skin Type:
Combination (dry U oily T), sensitive, needs elasticity, hydration and moisture.
Dehydrated, sensitive, allergic and very pigmented lips.
Mamonde Mix & Match Mask Sheet Pore Care Green & Moisture Holding Blue Review:
Whereas I’m not crazy about it design wise, I think having it with little handles like folders makes it quite practical! Imagine putting all these on a box and you just… see the “tag” and choose, without having to take them out. This detail of the design I absolutely love!
For some reason one opened a little lumpy, the other easy and clean cut, so I guess I was just clumsy on the green one which is lumpier. No big effort anyway! But I did get a few drops jump on me and on the sheet pouch, so that is never a nice thing.
The blue mask is a creamy essence, and yet it’s still way less creamy than the Innisfree orchid fluid. While I’m applying the mask it is not sticky at all! However this mask is less blue than I pictured?
Now, the masks will overlap on your cheeks, so for the cheeks you choose which effect you want, out of the two available ones, and put that mask first. In my case the choice is between Moisture and Pore Care and for the cheeks I choose moisture.
The green pore mask has a transparent essence, that looks less dense than the moisture one. And this mask is as green as the one on the package, so yay! The essence feels super liquid and splashy, and is as light as a toner.
If I must name a problem with the fit then there is just one tiny problem.
Everything is perfect, love the cheek detail that you can choose which mask you want on your cheek part, it is a mask that can overlap or stretch in a margin of almost 2cm in height from longer to shorter faces, but… the base goes all the way to my hair and the top stops way before that.
My face is a medium size so it means larger and smaller faces will both struggle. And besides, it’s just silly not to make them the same size.
Other than that, the adherence is quite good and I can walk around easily. Also this mask is very relaxing on the skin, so regardless of the results at least it is helping me relax after walking a few kilometers today.
The scent is more cosmetic than natural, but you can smell on each of them individually the flowers they have (Eoseong Cho in the green mask and Daffodil in the blue mask), however not the fresh flower scent but the Mamonde flower scent (if you used their other products with flower scents than you know these scents too). Overall it is a pleasant scent, not too intense for normal noses but too intense for sensitive ones. Like the Mamonde Hydro Ampoule Toner.
The essences are dramatically different. The green one absorbs so fast! The blue one not so much, it absorbs like the other creamy essences out there.
But both feel nice and none feels sticky after absorption.
And look at this, the green essence is transparent, and the blue one is actually blue! Maybe the blue mask’s sheet is actually white, and it tones blue with this essence. Also, both pouches have enough essence for a full-face mask (that photo was taken in the sink so that’s a wide area there). So, feel free to apply half a mask and the remaining essence with cotton pads to get a full mask. I know I will do that.
I used the mask for 20 minutes and here are the results. The blue mask is actually something in between moisturizing and hydrating so I understand them saying Moisturizing in English… But it still makes zero sense to me calling it Hydrating in Korean when they have a word that literally says moisturizing and hydrating.
Anyway, the results. The essences may be incredibly different but you don’t feel that your skin was treated differently, only that the liquid essence requires your skin care routine to be applied sooner and the results of the masks are of course different.
What I mean is, it’s not like there was a drying mask and a moisturizing mask at different parts of your skin – they work in harmony feeling like a soothing moist mask that’s doing its magic.
The moisturizing mask is amazing! But definitely stay out of it on sebum season if you have oily skin. It soothed my skin and plumped it, and my pores that need hydration are hydrated, whereas the parts of my skin that need moisture are moisturized. Similar to an All In One type of product.
The pore care mask seems to have gotten rid of the black pore intensity, so I guess it sort of has the part of “melting” the dirt away. It also soothes and refines the skin texture like a good toner. But this one doesn’t hydrate nor moisturize at all (which makes it good for oily skins with black pores), so I need to do my remaining skin care right away after it absorbs.
Both of them refreshed my skin and made it look overall prettier, and I am very satisfied with both results. My skin also feels cool, because the mask sheets keep the essence moist against the skin and the fan was on, so it was a gentle constant cooling – and after removing the masks the coolness remained. And neither of them burned or stung at all, so the soothing the ingredient list promised is effective.
I recommend these masks but consider each of them well for your skin type. Don’t forget one mask can be used for a full face if you soak cotton pads in the remaining essence, so you can also try them one at a time.
Consider the scent if you have a sensitive nose, consider the intensity of the moisture of the masks, and consider your skin needs. They have six masks in this collection so mix and match, mix and match!
They are not magical unicorn masks in the results. But they are affordable, and magical in the sense that they tackle two different skin issues at once, while they do feel relaxing and soothing during application, so to me they are worth it. I do feel they could be a little cheaper for half a face mask (for two masks, aka a full-face, it’s around 3$), but on promotion I think their prices are fair for the product quality.
