[REVIEW] Mamonde Skin Fit Hibiscus Mask | Deep Moisturizing

Mamonde Skin Fit Hibiscus Mask | Deep Moisturizing Review:

At first I was just letting this mask lay around my masks box because I thought “Mamonde Hibiscus moisturizing mask? I already tried that” – except that when I decided to do a random mask and I looked more closely, this wasn’t the mask that I had already tried (and reviewed here on CosmePerks), this was a mask that was completely new to me! So I jumped in and decided it was a chance to let you know about this one too.

– Perfectly adheres to the most corrugated parts of the face

– Despite the perfect adhesion, the feeling is fresh and there is no uncomfortable feeling

– This exceptional Shielding Effect delivers the essence to your skin

It is a bio-cellulosic mask that delivers efficacious ingredients in a soft and comfortable way to the skin. It is a moisturizing lotion that provides a tight moisturizing effect with strong moisturizing factors and ingredients found in Hibiscus, creating a durable skin barrier.

How to use:

1. Cleanse and tone your skin.

2. Remove the mask from the pouch and remove one of the gauzes protecting it.

3. Apply to the face, matching the eyes, nose, and mouth portions.

4. Remove the second gauze, which you should have left on the outside of the skin.

5. Wait for 20 minutes, then remove the gel mask and pat the remaining essence until it absorbs into the skin.

My Skin Type:

Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic.

If you don’t know, Hibiscus (Mugunghwa or the Rose Of Sharon) is the national flower of Korea. So of course there is a whole collection from Mamonde around this flower and it smells divine because it’s Mamonde and flowers and their main flower.

But anyway, before I start this review, this mask is on the higher end of the mask price, especially if you consider the normal Mamonde price. Well, I have to say that, considering the usual Mamonde quality and considering this price is double the normal price, my expectations are sky high.

The mask did not cooperate when opening, as you can see. Ugh the frustration! But I opened it again, from the other side. Didn’t splatter or cause a mess so I’ll accept the possibility that it’s just my clumsiness that makes me bad at opening.

I know it’s a bunch of photos but please bear with me. When you remove the mask from the pouch it’s neatly folded and it has gauze all over.

Then you remove one gauze and you can see that the other one is meant to stay to help you apply the mask (you can actually feel it, since the mask is really thin and clingy without it).

You can see how it does indeed look like a second skin, even the fine wrinkles in the mask are meant to keep your skin 100% covered with it.

The fit is, as they said, good since it clings everywhere. The only problem I had was on my chin since it kept sliding down for some reason (maybe because I was speaking), but everything else stuck well to the skin after I pressed it down after applying.

Perfect fit and comfort, so I must say they really kept their word on that one.

Of course I knew this as soon as I opened the pouch – again they used the word moisture when they meant hydration. This essence is amazing, the mask is amazing in every way and I will tell you right now that I will definitely repurchase it, but it’s a hydrating mask, not moisturizing. I will also tell you right away that, other along with the Missha Homemade Mungbean modeling mask, it’s the most hydrating mask my face ever touched.

The effects lasted the whole day without causing my skin or pores to become droopy, I didn’t even feel the need to apply mist at any point. Loved it. Hydration.

The scent is flowery but I’m not sure it’s the smell of Hibiscus since to me hibiscus don’t smell that well compared to other flowers.

Regardless, after the whole 20 minutes, this is how much essence was left on my skin, waiting to be absorbed! It’s like the essence just kept reproducing on the mask or something.

You saw on the previous picture the amazing shine left on the skin after this non-sticky essence. Well, that’s how it looked on my face too. Unfortunately it was too dark as you can see in this photo to be able to capture such a close up of my pores :’(

It’s a really expensive mask though, and if you’re not a hydration nutsy like me you should probably just stick to the Aritaum Hyaluronic Acid mask which costs 1/5th of the price of this one. However, for those who love hydration I have to recommend this one. I think it will fit any skin type, even sensitive if none of the ingredients clash with your skin.
