[Review] Mediheal Hair Sheep Steam Pack

Mediheal Hair Sheep Steam Pack Review:

I recently moved to Korea, from Phoenix, Arizona.  Although I am loving the change my hair isn’t. With much higher levels of humidity my normal conditioner just wasn’t enough to help my hair soft, and frizz free. So I set out looking for something that will tame the frizz back into the natural curls I love. I ended up picking a few things up (reviews to come) but one of my favorites is the Mediheal Hair Sheep Steam Pack. I will be honest it was the cute print that caught my attention, but after reading the claims I decided it was worth a try.

Mediheal Hair Sheep Steam Pack Review:

After opening the pack, the first thing you notice is the cap is printed with what I guess is supposed to be a sheep. It has the eyes and horns, and tons of cute curls.  Does the print really make a difference?  No, but it’s cute and I like it.

Mediheal Hair Sheep Steam Pack Review

This pack does have a distinct smell to it, it smells strongly of baby powder. It’s not unpleasant, just a bit stronger than I expected. The smell was still on my hair after I removed the pack and rinsed my hair, but it was much lighter and very nice.It was gone the next time I washed my hair.

When I first opened the pack and saw the cream inside the cap I was a little worried.  Since my hair is so thick and long I was worried there wouldn’t be enough to get all of my hair, and getting the pack on my head and all my hair tucked into the cap was a little awkward, but doable.

The front of the cap does have a piece of tap that you use to secure it.  It held but I didn’t think it felt really secure so I used a headband over it to help hold the edges in place. Once I started to massage the cream into my hair and head through the cap I could feel it beginning to heat up.

With this pack the cream is supposed to get warm to help the hair and scalp absorb the protein and other vitamins. It didn’t get hot enough to burn, more of a soft relaxing warmth that let me know it was working. Since my hair is pretty thick I left it on for 20 minutes, instead of the 10-15.  I just left it alone and I relaxed and read my kindle while it worked it’s magic.

When I took it off and rinsed my hair I could instantly feel the difference. My hair was much softer and smoother and just felt healthy. Drying and styling my hair was very easy.  My hair was moisturized, and had a healthy shine and bounce to it.  It looked like I just spent an hour in a salon chair.

After the first time I used the pack it took about 3 weeks for my hair to start looking a bit haggard again. When it started looking damaged and lifeless I used this pack again.  So far I have used this pack 3 times and I absolutely love it.

I will continue to buy this as often as I need it.  It’s perfect for when your hair needs a pick me up, or defense from the summer sun and humidity. Using this pack is also perfect for a night in, when you need a little relaxing.  I also recommend it for a girl’s night in. It worked great for my thick curly hair, keeping down the frizz and it didn’t weight it down at all. I would recommend it for all hair types.
