Missha The Style Perfect Concealer in Natural Beige Review:
What is a worse thing after suffering from breakouts? The scars, of course. I have some (or a lot of *sigh) acne scars and dark spots on my skin since I am an acne prone-skin girl. Hence I add a concealer in my makeup routine to get flawless look. I’ve tried some brands like Clio, Skinfood, Etude House and The Saem for their liquid concealers. The liquid type concealer is actually a better choice for oily-combi skin like mine. But occasionally I get some dry patches too on my cheeks, so I decided to have another concealer in a cream type.
I have never thought about Missha until I found some reviewers gave 5 stars for Missha The Style Perfect Concealer. They bring a big curiosity to me since this product is inexpensive, but why did they give it great reviews?
So, I bought mine and selected the shade Natural Beige. Aside from good reviews out there, I have a high expectation about this product considering Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream that has ever been so popular for its best coverage. So, let’s jump to the review of Missha The Style Perfect Concealer in Natural Beige!

Missha The Style Perfect Concealer in Natural Beige Review:
I shouldn’t complain anything about how this product looks since Missha is not a typical brand like Etude House which usually comes in attractive packaging. Even some of Missha products have too plain packaging for my taste.
So does this concealer. It comes in a black mini pot that is very easy to carry with. The design is actually so simple, but surprisingly, I feel it looks somewhat elegant and professional.
I like its twist-off cap, thus it won’t open accidentally when you put it in your pouch or bag. And that mini size is actually having a huge amount for a cream concealer product since it is 3 g. The size is quite a lot for a long time usage.
This concealer has a soft baby powder scent with hint of chemical scents. I don’t know for sensitive nose, but it is not annoying for me. I even couldn’t sniff the scents when applied the product on my cheeks.
Missha The Style Perfect Concealer has 2 shades that go to Light Beige and Natural Beige, and I chose Natural Beige. Why? My skintone is fair enough but since I want to conceal my acne scars and blemishes (I didn’t have a plan to use it for my under eyes), so I chose a darker shade than my skintone.
Natural beige is a warm-tone shade with yellow-base color that unfortunately, is a little bit too yellow for my skintone. Lucky me because when I’m using it along with my BB cream or foundation and set with powder, the color looks more natural on my skin. I just need to give it few minutes longer until it blends nicely with my skintone.
This product has creamy texture, a little bit thick and chalky. I don’t like the result on my dry patches of skin because it looks cakey, even when I apply it on my oily zone. Moreover, it doesn’t have any moist effect and makes my skin a little bit drier.
It accentuates my dry patches even more and becomes more cakey after 2-3 hours. I couldn’t use it for my under eyes area too since it settles into my fine lines and makes it more wrinkly.
On the other hand, the coverage from this product is pretty good. It is medium to full coverage and buildable. You could apply one or more layers to cover very dark spots and red pimples, unfortunately based on its thick texture, it will become more cakey when you add more layers. You could also zoom my picture and see how it became dry and a bit cakey on second layers.
I usually use my concealer brush to blend any kind of concealer, but that way doesn’t work well for this product. I got an uneven blending result when apply it with my brush and even worse when try to blend it with sponge.
Well, I’m not a kind of girl who gives up easily (haha!) so I use my fingertip and tap the product gently over the trouble areas, and it works much better. I guess, the warmth of my finger helps it to blend evenly.
After all, it’s hard for me to love this product and I’m still wondering, why did they (the 5 stars reviewers) love it so much? I tried a lot of ways, as good as I could do, but still getting fail with this product.
I tried to use it before my foundation and ended up with a cakey result. Then, I tried to use it after my foundie and the result is a little bit acceptable, the coverage is better too, but still found a cakey result *sigh… The only good point from the formula of Missha The Style Perfect Concealer is it doesn’t cause any breakout for my sensitive skin. That’s it!
I don’t suggest you to buy this product, especially if you have dry skin and fine lines issue. I think this product is not our last option, we can keep trying to find other concealers out there.
In case you still want to give it a try (at least it’s very affordable and may work for you), make sure that you give your skin a super moist cream before applying this concealer. Back to myself, this product is actually not for me.
