[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet BR01 Pretty Brown Pink

Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet BR01 Pretty Brown Pink Review:

I’m a fan of Missha’s skincare. It is the brand which introduced us to cult favorites like the Time Revolution the First Treatment Essence and the All Around Safe Block sunscreens. However, I don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to their makeup products. In fact, this lip tint is the only makeup product I have from the brand.

I have been using lip tints for years now and based on my experience, the best ones definitely come from South Korea (which isn’t really hard to believe since they’re the one who started this trend). Anyway, I first saw this Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet on an online website and well…it was love at first sight! One look on its super adorable packaging and I knew I just had to have it (yes, I’m totally one of those people who buy things based on packaging without knowing much about the product).

There are five shades to choose from which includes a red (RD01), an orange (OR01), a brownish-pink (BR01), and two coral shades (CR01 and CR02). Since I already have a lot of reds and oranges in my collection, I decided to get the brownish-pink shade. It was priced at 260php (~$5) when I bought it which is a great bargain for such a pretty looking lip tint in my opinion.

Missha Wish Stone Tint Velvet BR01 Pretty Brown Pink Review:

I have fairly dark-colored lips which make it quite difficult for me to find a lip tint that works. Most of the ones I’ve tried before just weren’t pigmented enough to fully cover my natural lip color. As a mom, I also require lip products to be long-lasting since I don’t always have the time for reapplication.

Anyway, this lip tint has been in my collection for a few months now and I have already used it numerous times to share with you my experience and opinions about it.

Packaging: Like what I have said earlier, I absolutely love the packaging of this tint. It’s arguably the cutest one in my collection. It’s made from plastic but looks like a peach-colored crystal with tiny specks of glitter. It comes with a wand applicator which is flat on the sides. I find the application super easy because of this applicator shape.

Texture: As the name suggests, this lip tint has velvety or moussey texture which makes it non-drying and really easy to blend. This velvety texture also allowed me to use this as a cheek tint whenever I wanted a monochromatic look. On the other hand, because of the texture, you can expect this to transfer.

Shade: I love this shade because it’s not something you typically see in Korean lip tints. It is also versatile enough to be used as a cheek tint.

Scent: This lip tint smells like brown sugar to me! I really like sweet smelling lip products so this is a plus for me.

Pigmentation: It is pigmented when swatched on the back of my hand but somehow doesn’t perform the same way on my lips. It wasn’t able to fully cover my lips as opaquely as I would like.

Longevity: Unfortunately, this is not a long-lasting tint for me. The pigment disappears (mostly on the inner parts of my lips) after drinking and eating. You’d have to reapply this every few hours.

Overall, I don’t think I’ll repurchase any of the other shades because of my experience with this one. Although it is a stunning color and the packaging is beautiful, there are so many other lip tints in the market that are better than this when it comes to pigmentation and longevity.
