[Review] Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot Review:

Most of my life I have been blessed with good skin.  A pimple spot here and there do pops out, but their numbers have always been countable using one hand. So when the pimples started popping out more frequently and more numerous, I freaked out and started my zealous hunt for a cure.

I googled and lurked online beauty forums, also reading old threads, in the hopes of finding the perfect remedy, and I came across reviews of Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot.  It is not the first time that I have heard of Mizon and I have already used some of their products such as their snail eye cream and liked it. Since the Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot was recommended in the AB community, I decided to go and try it, for which I am so delighted I did.

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot claims to treat spots and blemishes, as well as lessen and prevent more spot formation.

This comes in a 30 ml clear bottle. It might be a small bottle but its usage goes a long way and packs a punch of wonders.

How to use:

Before bed, wash your face and apply toner. Using a clean cotton swab, dip the tip into the pink sediment of the solution and place a dab of it directly on the blemish. It will dry overnight and come morning, you will rinse with lukewarm water.

I use this as the final step in my night regimen. After cleansing and moisturizing my face, I take a cotton q-tip and dip inside the bottle, going through the layers and making sure to get a good amount of the pink solution at the bottom.  I then dab this to all my spots.

The product has two layers, the first one is yellowish which is filled with disinfecting ingredients and drying solution that removes dead skin cells and sebum.  The bottom layer is a solution that calms the redness and alleviates swelling.

If I find the product I got is not enough for all of my pimples, I use a new q-tip to get more product. Never double dip and reuse a cotton bud as it will contaminate the whole bottle.  While getting the q-tip out, I try to avoid bumping the side of the bottle opening but sometimes this cannot be avoided. If some residue builds on the sides of the bottle, I shake it, using its own liquid to “clean” the sides.  I then let it settle again to its layers.

My Skin Type: Combination, oily t-zone.

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot Review:

When I first opened the bottle, a slightly woody scent fills my nostrils.  Not pleasant, but not overly bad as well.  The smell stays throughout while applying the product but vanishes after a while.

The solution is cold on the skin upon application.  It only takes about 5 seconds to dry, and then I can go sleep.

I only usually use this at bedtime since this does leave a tell-tale sign of usage and becomes pink spots on the face after application, which is still present when you wake up the next morning.  I have no problem removing the residues on my face though while in the shower.  I also use it sometimes during daytime if I know I will only be staying at home for the day and is not expecting any visitors.

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot Review

During my month or so of usage, there were some pimples that needed several days of use before I see any difference, some pimples that I think became angrier before fading into oblivion, pimples which became as small as a pin prick overnight, and pimples that never came to a head.

What is constant is when I apply it on angry pimples, even when I don’t see any visible shrinkage overnight, the pimple always becomes less painful and less angry.  I did try it on pimples that I have pricked (sorry cannot stop myself from pricking), and there is a painful tingle when this is applied to open spots.

One incident that clearly stayed in my mind is this one big cystic pimple that I can feel way way deep down on my cheek. An angry bump that makes me anxious just thinking about the damage it will cause when it finally show its head. I religiously applied the Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot every night for 2 weeks, sometimes even in the day during the weekend, and that cystic spot just died and never saw the light of day. Hurray!

Mizon Acence Blemish Out Pink Spot Review

When my spots started multiplying, I have shunned the cameras when friends are taking photos preferring to be away from the spot light.  I have since been using this for more than a month now and my pimples have all dried out.  No new big ones appearing. Though I still have PIH to take care of, I have gained more confidence and have started taking part of group photos again.

Will I repurchase? Definitely.  In the instance that my bottle is almost finished or nearing drying out, my next order will be on the way. This is one of the things that should always be available on hand on my vanity table. What if there is an emergency? At the onset of a pimple, immediately I daub it on the spot to let it work its magic.

I do think that this will work on all skin types, and I have recommended this to my friends. In fact, I have already bought one as a gift to a friend who is currently struggling with a series of pimples, and she’s now also a believer.
