[Review] Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask

Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask Review:

As far as I can remember this was the first overnight sleeping mask I bought. Since it was winter at that time I was looking for something hydrating and I liked that this mask was suitable for all skin types and was especially recommended for dehydrated skin. Plus, it was really inexpensive so I decided to give it a try. And I am really glad I did.

Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask Review:

The texture of this mask is very nice, light, gel-like. It has a clear milkish color.  The mask spreads smoothly and sinks into the skin almost instantly with a nice soft finish and no sticky feeling whatsoever.

I love that I am able to apply it and go to bed immediately without having to worry that I will stain my pillowcase. I have also noticed that it helps other products sink in faster.

There is a faint fresh fragrance, barely detectable. Lavender maybe. But it is definitely a nice soothing night scent.

You can see in the ingredients that it contains niacinamide, which inhibits melanin synthesis so it both reduces the appearance of sunspots and prevents new ones from developing, hyaluronic acid and glycerin for hydration and some botanical extracts to protect the skin.

However, it does contain silicones so be cautious if your skin is sensitive to them or you are prone to breaking out from silicones. Also be wary if you are using some Vitamin C treatment because some studies suggest that Vitamin C and niacinamide cancel each other out.

The packaging is a plastic blue tube, quite sturdy. And perfect for this type of product.

I used it all winter and as you can see I still have a bit left. I like that it adds a little extra moisture to my skin and also seals in the moisture from my moisturizer.

I also like that it contains niacinamide so I think it has helped me deal with some hyperpigmentation and evening my skintone in general or at least I would like to think that. In the mornings when I have used this mask my skin has always appeared brighter and smoother.

Overall I think it is a nice additional last step in my skincare routine. Great for those days my skin needs a little pick-me-up but I don’t have the time for an extensive procedure.

I should also mention that this mask comes in 2 sizes – this 50 ml one and an 80 ml one in a tub. Like I said I prefer the tube type, it just seems more comfortable and hygienic. Plus, it is easier to take it with you when you are traveling.

I liked the overall effect of this mask on my skin. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a non-sticky, slightly moisturizing, brightening sleeping mask. For combination skin like mine it was perfect during winter but if you have dry skin you might prefer using it during the summer months and finding something more hydrating for the winter. I would probably repurchase it again since I really do like it and it is fairly inexpensive.
