Moonshot Cream Paint Lightfit M212 Pale Leaves Review:
When I went to South Korea for the very first time, this product was undoubtedly #1 on my to-buy list. If you ask me the reason, with no shame I am going to say because it’s endorsed by my favorite Korean girl group which is Blackpink.
Moonshot itself is a Korean cosmetic brand launched back in 2014 by YG Entertainment. So it’s not a relatively new brand since it’s been almost 4 years. But I believe the existence of this brand itself is, sadly, only known to a limited amount of people. I would guess it is because YG isn’t a beauty related company and because the price isn’t really budget friendly – okay the pricing is actually mid-range, but still – so lots was hesitant to buy it without much review yet.
So here I am, doing Moonshot a favor and writing my review on this lip cream I very much adore!
+ A perfect MLBB, half level light tone chroma suitable for all Asian skin.
+ Petal like weightless matte texture
+ Used for both cheek and lips
+ Reflected by a professional makeup artist’s technique

Moonshot Cream Paint Lightfit M212 Pale Leaves Review:
Before buying this product, I actually had bought and tried a travel size of another lip product from this brand, which I also love. So although I first became interested in this lip cream because of Blackpink, I am not as hesitant as the others as I’ve tried their other product. And besides, the color ranges are what actually convince me to buy one.
There are 8 color options to choose from and honestly, I like all of them. They’re going for an autumn MLBB (my lips but better) color which I really dig so it was hard deciding which color to pick, until the BA in the Myeongdong store recommended me this one, M212 which is named Pale Leaves.
Do I need to say anything about the packaging? It looks really gorgeous and luxurious. But as you can see though, never drop it like I did, or else you will have that kind of damage as mine…
The doe foot applicator is a bit bigger than most of the other lip products, whether it be a lip cream, lip tint, etc. In fact, I think this is the biggest applicator out of all the lip products I owned. Not much of a problem, though. Just be sure to be careful not to apply too much product.
The color of this shade is somehow pink but with a bit of tendency towards orange. It’s hard for me to explain, but I believe this n*de color also makes my face look brighter. Anyway, this is such a pretty color that I can’t even complain about how it looks a bit different from the advertisement.
Moving on to talk about the texture, actually Moonshot never claims this product as a ‘lip cream’ at all. They just named it as a cream paint, and that’s it. But at least in my opinion, the texture is what we would call as a ‘lip cream’.
It is really creamy, light, and glides smoothly on my lips. I only need a tiny drop of the product for my whole lips, which is a plus because it means a little goes a long way, so yay!
But then again, a tiny drop won’t be pigmented enough if I want to completely cover the darker area of my lips, so I just add some more layer on my lips, and done. Thankfully, it builds up nicely.
The finish of this product is semi matte and not drying at all. And this is not completely what I would call a non-transfer, but that’s just how I like it since non-transfer lip products tend to be drying. In average, this product lasts for about 4-6 hours for me and the color fades off really nicely. No idea what would happen if I eat some horribly oily food though… Well I won’t risk myself.
To sum it up, all the claims seems to be true to me. Perfect MLBB? Yes. Light matte texture? Well it is semi matte, but yes. Can be used for both cheeks and lips? I haven’t tried to use it on my cheeks yet, but judging by the texture and color, I guess it is suitable for that so, yes.
Now, will I repurchase it? Well despite it being rather expensive and out of my budget, I wouldn’t mind to save some money until I have enough to buy it again. I mean the texture, the color, the finish, etc. I love it.
So yeah, I’ll absolutely repurchase it again and recommend it. In fact, this is my favorite – a holy grail, even – lip product.
