Moonshot Multi Protection Tinted Moisture SPF30 PA ++ Review:
Moonshot is “the YG brand” so it’s no surprise we expect quality from it, a slightly higher price, and satisfaction too. Of course often the models are also from YG, and the one for this product is Lisa! She couldn’t be more appropriate as she (like many of us) has slight pigmentation marks in some spots, and yet she is so pretty. I got this product thinking it was just a makeup base, but it ended up being more than that.
+ On dry skin types it helps give a smoother skin and prevent makeup from breaking, since it’s a highly moisturizing base.
+ It doesn’t give heavy, oily nor greasy finish to the skin.
From the website:
+ Ultimate moisturizer makeup base to infuse skin with sustained hydration.
+ Brightening, anti-aging, UVA/UVB protection SPF 50+ PA+++ (they really say SPF 50 but I think it was a typo on their part)
+ Boost of moisture, and helps hold it in
+ Adds the softest glow to skin
+ Brightens with pink particles
+ Packed with hyaluronic acid complex and panthenol to help dryness while giving smoother and firmer-looking sin
+ Don’t be so stuffy and greasy! Rich in feel, but softens and cushions skin for smooth makeup application like a primer
+ It naturally illuminates your face and gives you a glow skin

Moonshot Multi Protection Tinted Moisture SPF30 PA ++ Review:
Let me say that the simple design is very cute, and the classic moon reference on the box makes it cuter.
The tube is very handy, it has a nice grip and it is tiny enough to carry in your bag. The lid doesn’t pop out too easily so it’s nice on that too.
I never used these tube-with-pump types but I’m guessing closer to the end I’ll have to remove the pump and squeeze it out with my hands like I would do on a regular tube. Regardless, until then it is very comfortable to use, and the pump helps control the amounts very easily!
It has a sweet fragrance, and I know many of you dislike fragrance but to Koreans this falls under the makeup category. It has a slightly pink shade to it, just like they said.
Why do I say “to Koreans”? Because to me it’s something right between skin care and makeup. It moisturizes (skin care) and protects (sun care, aka skin care), but it also colors (makeup) and covers the pores (makeup).
You can see it almost doesn’t lighten my skin up (Korean shade 21) and it has a veeeeery light coverage.
It feels moist even after it absorbs and it leaves no trace it was ever there (other than the comfortable feeling of moisture and the tone up/pore coverage). I still use it after a sun cream (hey, I use SPF 50, so…) and that makes it not completely grease free (because of the sun cream) but it does reduce the amount of grease the sun cream would normally leave.
Likewise, when I use it without a sun cream (only when I apply full makeup, and even then only sometimes) it leaves no trace of grease, oil, or sebum for a few hours, and after I produce less than usual.
I must say, to me, there is an obvious difference in skin tints (you know, pimples and sun marks) and in skin tone between when I use it and I don’t use it. When I put the cushion on (this is a low cover cushion) there is some, but not much, difference in coverage. The tinted moisture works wonders as a makeup base since the cushion doesn’t settle in the pores and make me look like a dalmatian by the end of the day.
What I like more though is to use it on days I don’t use makeup! It gives moisture, evens out the skin tone and the pores, gives glow…
My first layer is all over the face, including eyelids and neck. Then I apply a second layer only in the center (where the black and the enlarged pores are) and on wherever I have trouble (pimples or rougher skin texture). On those days I use either a liquid blush or a tinted lip balm as a blush, and the same tinted lip balm on the lips just to give some extra brightness to the face.
In the end it is a good product, not amazing as a pore base but good if your problem is dry skin flakes and also good if you have perfectly textured skin. For makeup, I still need something more directed to my pore-blems.
But as a no-makeup product it’s easily one of my favorites. Usually tinted sun creams leave a white face, and are often too dry, and that’s horrible. This one doesn’t brighten the skin as much as they say on the official website, so no worries there ;D
To me it’s a little disappointing that they only have a pink base since literally half the world is bound to have warm skin tones.
Not sure how this would perform on darker skins. But if your skin isn’t darker than a Korean 23 I think this product can please you like it pleases me!
