[REVIEW] Nature Republic Coconut Bio Skin Multi Patch

Nature Republic Coconut Bio Skin Multi Patch Review:

I got this product in one of those “let me get free shipping” situations, so I didn’t expect anything of it, I chose it for its price. Since I like Nature Republic’s mask sheets I thought “Hey, this spot treatment must be quite decent for the price” as are all of their masks that I’ve tried. From disappointment to disappointment I’ll tell you my journey with these babies.

Oily T, dry U, sensitive, blemishes easily, and allergic.

Nature Republic Coconut Bio Skin Multi Patch Review:

As soon as the patches arrived I was disappointed. I guess since they talk about its multi functionality I expected that there would be more than two patches for some reason! But that was me and my assumptions.

The package opens easily and no splatter around, which is always nice.

These are the meshes after removed. I tried to take a photo of the patches but they are (of the same shape) thin transparent gel so they didn’t show in the picture! Anyway, you can see on the blue mesh that the patches weren’t exactly soaked, but then again it’s difficult for a gel mask to be soaked. So at this time I was still very forgiving.

Nature Republic Coconut Bio Skin Multi Patch Review

The scent was “green” but not specifically of aloe or green tea, and definitely not of coconut anything. However that comforting “sweet” feeling of aloe gel was there.

The essence is really liquid and transparent, and on the arm test after it being absorbed only 15% of it remained (literally, the other 85% is as if there was never any essence on my skin). So this was disappointment number two! But since I had already bought the patches of course I would try them anyway, what harm can it do!

So I applied them as they suggested on the nasolabial fold, which needed lots of help. There was no magic feeling while applying, and after the application my skin wasn’t well at all. Not that the patches harmed it but since the patch-free parts of my skin were unprotected in the air the skin that was not under the patches was droopy and sad.

But how was the skin that had the patches on? Literally the same as before I applied the patches. I would better apply aloe vera gel and my own facial oil (or even without the oil) and the result would have been better and less harmful for the rest of my skin! So the results were… null. I took a before and after picture but they look so much the same that I consider them worthless.

So I won’t repurchase this ever again, and I probably won’t purchase any patches at all after this experience where “the rest” of my skin was just left drying in the air. I know some people use patches under mask sheets (which I will too if I get a good patch) but these ones have such little effect that it’s just better to use the mask sheet alone.

I rate it whatever the minimum grade is, for its lack of any effect.

    • I have a suggestion! I hope I’m not too late
Apply these patches on the place you want to focus on AND soak cotton pads (or if you have dry/diy mask sheets use them) and soak it in toner (or toner+essence) and cover an area bigger than the desired area with it. Leave it on until the cotton pads start drying a little
I think this might bring out the best in the patches!
