[REVIEW] Nature Republic Natural 100% Jelly Cleansing Puff Konjac Sponge

Nature Republic Natural 100% Jelly Cleansing Puff Konjac Sponge Review:

Ever since I started being engrossed by skincare and diving head first into Korean skincare in particular, one of the first points I have always come across is cleansing. If you want your skin to be as clear, healthy, and radiant as possible, then consistent cleansing is a must, especially physical exfoliating.

I for one enjoy physical exfoliation and was searching for a product that would get rid of the clinging peeling skin on my forehead (after being sun burnt) with as little force as possible without any micro beads or tiny particles that would be abrasive to my sensitive skin. And after researching and finding enthusiastic reviews of Nature Republic vegetable konjac cleansing puff on the internet, I decided to try it out.

♥ Made up of 90% Konjac and 10% Bamboo Charcoal, the Nature Republic 100% Jelly Cleansing Puff – Charcoal helps to remove dirt and absorbs excess sebum without over drying the skin.

♥ Natural mineral makes the skin soft and bright and Natural konjac jelly doesn’t hurt the skin but cleans well.

♥ Puff texture helps in cleansing uneven surface and removing dead cell as well.

How to Use:

•Wet in water before use.

•Take foam cleanser or soap onto the puff, massage the face gently and wash off with lukewarm water.

•After use, wash well, squeeze the water and hang in an airy area to dry out.

•This is for a personal use, so do not share with others for hygienic purpose.

•Dispose the konjac sponge after 2 months use.

My Skin Type:

I have combination to oily, sensitive acne-prone skin. I am mainly oily in my T-zone and normal-ish in my U-zone. Most of my allergic reactions to skin products occur in my U-zone.

What is Konjac you might ask? Konjac is a plant that is native to Southeast Asia Japan and China. The sponges are made from the dried and ground root of the Konjac which is rich in vitamins such as A, B1, B2, B6 and E, proteins and amino acids, and natural minerals copper, zinc, iron, and magnesium.

These ingredients help to nourish and exfoliate your skin naturally without irritating or causing redness to it. A natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable product, Konjac is an environmentally friendly unlike other exfoliators.

The puff comes fully hydrated and damp and so does not need to soak. Konjac sponges feel finer than washcloths, and they’re softer than loofahs and as it absorbs water so there is less roughness in its texture.

Nature Republic Natural 100% Jelly Cleansing Puff Konjac Sponge Review

It feels almost like a tough fibrous jelly, springy and squishy to the touch. It’s a half moon shape with a rounded top and a flat surface where you apply to your face to exfoliate.

The puff makes my facial cleanser foam like crazy, so a little bit goes a long way. When applying to my face it felt a bit rough as the surface is a bit uneven and a bit porous but soft. I was extremely surprised by its cleansing ability despite its squishy softness.

The surface of the puff did not chafe my skin and was not abrasive by any means. The soft texture of the puff efficiently sloughed off flaky peeling skin on my forehead without causing irritation or redness, and left me with smooth and healthy looking skin.

Nature Republic Natural 100% Jelly Cleansing Puff Konjac Sponge Review

After a month of using the puff, I noticed that my skin wasn’t as oily before which didn’t necessarily stop breakouts but reduced the intensity due to less oil on my skin. My skin never felt tight or dry after washing but thoroughly cleansed. I only used this sponge every other day in fear of over exfoliating and possibly drying out my skin.

I also noticed that the use of this sponge lessened my whiteheads and halfway through the month I got this crazy idea and decided to use this sponge with my Innisfree black head out balm instead of my cleanser and I must say it is effective in getting rid of whiteheads! With the combination of the two the whiteheads that plagued my nose and chin were soon gone and lessened greatly overtime.

Konjac sponges are extremely gentle physical exfoliators, that it can be used on all skin types due to its all natural ingredients. It’s not currently a necessary repurchase and would rate this 3.5 out of five stars.

If finding a physical exfoliator that does not irritate or chafe your skin to remove dry skin that makes you look dull is one of your current problems then including this sponge as part of your skin care routine may be the answer. I recommend using at least twice a week to give your skin a good scrub!
