Nature Republic Rose Real Nature Ampoule Review:

Nature Republic, to me, is a surprising company since you can find good quality products for every type of skin, for a very appealing price! Not to mention, their discounts are very friendly. As an online member living in Korea I have the chance to participate every month in the Shake Box event, where you can buy a box of, basically, way cheaper products (even though they literally have the same boxes every month, it’s still a pretty good deal). So, I was not aiming for this particular item, but since I got it I decided to try it. I mean, it is made out of rose, if that doesn’t appeal to you… then you’re probably not European 😀 But I do love me some rose products. Now, you should know there are two real nature ampoules for every scent, one with oil and one without – this one is  without oil so think of it as a rich essence.
Did I mention it comes in a glass bottle? It’s lovely just looking at it.

“Real Nature” line is a special care line that provides moisture and nourishment to the skin to prevent skin from being rough and dry.

This rose ampoule helps skin  maintain its strength when it is exhausted, and also helps to reduce the wrinkles and cultivates a moist skin.

How to use:

After cleansing, use toner to better prepare the skin. Use two or three drops of the ampoule and gently massage it into your skin until it’s fully absorbed.

My Skin Type: Oily T, dry U, blemished, sensitive, and allergic.

Nature Republic Rose Real Nature Ampoule Review:

I had never used an ampoule until I tried this one, and I didn’t even know how to use one! So when I got this, my first thought was “what do I do with it?” and then proceed to do some online research.

The results came to told me a diversity of information I will now write in short and convey to you.

>You can use an ampoule as a first essence, the one you put before a toner or skin.
>You can use an ampoule as a second, or only essence, before the lotion.
>You can use it together with an essence, before the essence – either in full face or localized treatment.
>You shouldn’t overuse an ampoule as it is richer than an essence, so use it on dry skin types, sensitive skin types, or skins in need of love (blemished, damaged, etc).

Knowing this I then thought “Oh, perfect for my skin-rescue!!” and it really was, as I found out after using it! My skin has suffered from aging (oh, the 30s), blemishes (pollution, and fine dust), and the horrible Korean winter (so dry I sometimes cry in the middle of the street because it just burns my eyes). So, in my case, I decided to pair it with my normal hydrating essence and use it in areas that need special care before I put the essence.

As soon as you open it you get all giddy inside. It doesn’t have a strong smell, it’s very gentle and it has just a very slight hint of rose.

Although it’s normal in ampoules, the package allows you to not only count it drop by drop but to precisely make them more generous drops (as I found later I needed, the small drop isn’t enough for me).

Consistency wise it is very pleasant. It is in between of an oil and a thick essence, but it is neither sticky nor greasy, and it slides just so easily on the skin!

It feels like I got kissed by rose dew, if such a thing exists.

Just look how dewy it is!! (This is double the amount of product I need to use per routine, by the way)

Whereas I don’t know if I will keep using it when the summer comes – and the weather becomes as humid as Miami –, I know that, at least in dry weather and emergencies I don’t think I can live without ampoules anymore! Since it’s my first ampoule I would like to try others, but it’s so cheap that I will definitely keep one of these around, in case I hate whichever one I buy next.

They do have a relatively short expiration date, maybe because of the concentration of natural ingredients, and I guess that’s why they also made the oil version of the ampoule, and it is slightly more expensive.
But in the end, I love this one and will definitely repurchase!
