[REVIEW] Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner Toner

Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner Toner Review:

I’ve been wanting to try this product for so long! It’s one of the products in my wishlist. So when it’s on sale (and just so you know, my current toner is almost finishing), I purchased it.

My first thought after receiving this toner was “Wow, this bottle is so big! But so cheap!” It is cheap, and bigger than any other toners that I have tried before.

+ Skin will be fully hydrated: It penetrates into the skin and avoid pile up.

+ Skin will feel fresh after usage: It gives a refreshing feeling on skin and it does not make skin feel sticky even if applied plenty.

+ Since the size is big, you can use for quite a long time or you can use plenty of it at one time.

Volume: 500ml

How to use:

1. As a hydrating toner: You can use this as hydrating toner or you can also use this for the 7-skin method as it will not pile up and feel sticky on skin.

2. As a face mask: You can use this with the empty compressed mask or just use the cotton pad and apply this on your skin so it can absorb the moisture.

3. As a primer before make up: Because it does not feel sticky, you can use this on your skin after cleansing before putting in other stuff as it will enhance the absorption of products on skin hence making your skin easy to apply make up.

4. Can be used on your body after shower.

My Skin Type: Dry/Normal

Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner Toner Review:

I’m interested in using this toner because I read about the benefits of hatomugi on skin which is hydrating, brightening and helps with acne. And I was interested to purchase any product that contains this ingredient. While I was searching, I saw this product received rave reviews so I put it in my wishlist.

Once it was on sale, I quickly bought and tried it. It’s currently my biggest toner (well, my biggest skincare item) ever! I transferred it into a small spray bottle so I can just apply it easily on skin (I usually do this with my other toners too).

The bottle is big and made of plastic and sturdy so you don’t have to worry about spilling the product or breaking the bottle. The color of the product is milky and texture is watery. It’s not thick at all, it really just feels like water. So it makes it easy to spray on my face.

I usually use this as a toner and sometimes if I have the time, I’ll just soak a few cotton pads in this product and put them in my problem area (acne, scars, etc). It feels cooling using this as a mask because the weather here is hot so it’s perfect when I want to relax and pamper my skin.

But, I feel like this product is not enough to hydrate my skin. I need to spray at least 3 times to hydrate it as one layer is not enough to do the job. And even then I don’t think it feels enough for my skin. This product would be more suitable for oily skin or combination skin people.

I also think this product would be very suitable for people who use the 7-skin method or people who love to layer their toner. I don’t really do the toner layering method, hence it might not be suitable for me.

What I like about this product is it really does not feel sticky on face! It absorbs really quickly, I don’t have to wait for long as I sometimes need to rush for work. I usually just spray it on my damp face and it feels so good (I also think putting toners on your damp face will hydrate your skin better). I can quickly apply other products without worrying if they will pile on my face. I think this is why it’s perfect for the toner layering method.

I’ve never used it on my body so I’m not sure what effect it will show. But, on my face, I don’t think I’ve seen any other effects than hydrating. It does help with acne but not much I think. It mostly soothes my acne and redness but it does not help reduce or remove it. I don’t think they even mention about that on their claims. No brightening effects noticed as my acne scars (PIH) remains the same.

I would rate is skin conditioner 3/5. Will I repurchase? Maybe. But I want to try other toners that is more hydrating for my skin. But I would really recommend this to people who do the toner layering method.
