Etude House Therapy Air Calendula Mask was purchased by Cosmeperks.
The fourth and final of the new Etude House masks is Calendula. I saved it for last because generally speaking I love calendula products, and so I threw a wild guess that this would be my favorite! In the end, surprisingly, it wasn’t – my favorite is still the Argan mask, but I have a lot to say about this one. Starting from the moment I removed it from the pack – what the heck?
Focuses on soothing and radiance.

Etude House Therapy Air Calendula Mask Sheet Review:
I mentioned in the previous reviews that, to me, there was nothing particularly nice about the design of these products, with the exception of the Camellia mask – it maintains, the camellia mask pack is still the only one that’s particularly nice. In this one it actually bothers me that there is a destroyed flower with essence for the center because it doesn’t smell like flowers stop deceiving me like this Etude.
The opening is like others from the collection, it’s not something that slides right open and I (who am not good at these things) need a strong grip to open it. But since I was prepared for this already, no problem.
Okay let the rant start! I opened the mask pack and pulled the mask out and the center was dry!! I know it’s an exception because the other three masks were completely fine, but still not what one would expect of Etude. It’s not like they are “just any brand”, am I right.
So I opened the mask, folded it so that the part with the most essence would touch the dry part (which, by the way, was one hundred percent dry). Then I stuck it back in the pouch, with the dry part to the bottom, and massaged it for around 10 minutes.
In the end it wasn’t that wonder of fluff the other three masks were, but it was malleable enough to stick to my face.
But I am really mad about that! Especially because it was right in the center (that’s the nose fold you see there) and that’s exactly the part that dries the faster. UGH!
The essence is yellower than the others, and it’s a thicker gel than the others. It spreads like a thick soothing gel (to be more precise, it spreads like the Nature Republic cactus soothing gel), it feels a little sticky, and absorbs relatively fast. There was an immediate shine on my arm after this! But we’ll see how it goes on the face, right?
The scent was just like the Camellia one of xylitol, Vic Vaporub, but weaker and not bothersome at all. Shame that it has no flower smell, with this level of xylitol it would actually smell particularly nice and fresh.
Unfortunately because I was just having a really bad selfie day I couldn’t take a photo of the fit, but it’s just the same as the other masks from the collection.
As soon as the mask touched my face I felt the freshness and soothing qualities of it, my skin was really happy to feel that even though it wasn’t particularly when I put the mask. It just soothes any skin. But also because my skin wasn’t particularly sensitive nor damaged I can’t guarantee this mask works for those situations, but I think it might if there is no open wound.
Since the mask was dry in the center, even though I tried my best, I could only leave it on for 15 minutes since it started drying then. But at least I left it for the minimum recommended time! I can only imagine this soothing feeling with the fluff of the masks in their normal condition, and for 20 minutes (or maybe a little more) it would have been so relaxing!
In the end, it’s one of those masks that works amazing for warm weather, but will probably be cold in the winter. It is soothing in the feeling of it, but I don’t think it will correct your blemishes (it’s soothing like aloe gel relieves the itchiness and redness, but not soothing like Dr. Belmeur will actually help fix your blemishes). It brightened my skin a lot, you can see the difference in liveliness, and with the plus of mild hydration that can be completed with the rest of your routine!
It lasted me for the whole day, and this one I’ll probably buy again.
