Labiotte Classic Made Fitting Cushion SPF 50+ PA++++ Review:
I am a fan of Labiotte’s design. I read the reviews of a few of their lipsticks here on Cosmeperks, and I bought two lipsticks myself. Let’s face it, their designs have some originality, right? And if you read the review of those lipsticks you will probably be interested in their products (I know I was).
This cushion’s case caught my eye because, first, the color is pink, but not a girly or childish pink. Then, the bears are cute, but again not stylish, they are a little reminiscent of those English clothes, with tweed patterns, polos, and cocker dogs running around. It’s not a cheap brand, I admit, so will they stay true to their word and promises?
+ To be fixed on your skin, with good coverage, for around 25 hours. So, 25 hours of no worries regarding your looks! (I don’t know why anyone would want to stay up that long, but that’s just me who likes to sleep).
+ If you see the Korean promotions of this product it is written in a very cute way that it “Attaches to your skin for 25 hours” but the sound of the first syllable of “attach” is written with the Hanja (Chinese symbol) for love because it’s read the same.
+ Reduces visible wrinkles and whitens the skin, while protecting from the sun. Fit for all skin types.
+ It leaves less residue on the paper or cotton test (after putting the cushion on, you press a white absorbing material on your skin and it should stick less product there than a normal cushion).

New 2017 Labiotte Classic Made Fitting Cushion SPF 50+ PA++++ Review:
First of all, it comes in two colors only, which is a shame. There’s Natural Beige (mine) and Light Beige. I chose Natural because it’s a little darker, but honestly if I used the lighter one there wouldn’t be any visible difference (I tried them both on the store).
For reference, the difference is like the Tony Moly Pikachu mini cushion (Reviewed) difference. I usually use a number 21 (or 201 on The Face Shop) on most brands, on this one I use a 23. And this brand’s number 21 is just a little darker than most brands’ number 13 (or 103 in The Face Shop).
So, knowing how their color system works, let’s proceed to the evaluation, shall we?
Take a moment to admire the design first. Just in case the cushion is a disappointment. So that we will always have good memories!
The puff is adorable! It’s bear shaped. It feels like a normal puff (I’ve had bad puffs and normal puffs, never a great one). But it’s fluffier than most puffs I’ve touched!
It looks normal, but why does it feel fluffier?
This was intriguing me, so I investigated. On their website, Labiotte says it’s because there is an air layer between the puff itself and the plastic part we hold the puff with. Obviously I won’t cut this puff open, it’s too cute for that! But it does feel like they’re telling the truth.
Here’s a comparison with another puff. It looks the same but the Labiotte puff feels both denser and fluffier, even though they have that air layer. When I press it on my skin, though, there’s not any difference in applying the product, it just feels less brusque on the skin (which is also a good thing).
The first thing I did after peeling the protection layer off was to sniff the cushion. The scent isn’t strong, it’s even weaker than the one from IOPE. It’s a flowery scent but most cosmetics smell like flower petals, or flower essences.
This one smells like a whole flower, with petals and stems, so it’s not too sweet and it smells herb-y at the same time. Like a real flower! But it’s a very light smell so you won’t smell it on yourself while you’re wearing the cushion (unless you’re very sensitive to smells).
This is right before and right after applying the cushion. They did say it would cover the black pores (on the website, while I was investigating the puff, not on the package), and it covered them perfectly. This was taken at 10’O clock in the morning.
When I applied it, looking at the mirror, I felt it was settling weirdly on the pores, that it was leaving some sort of residue. But then I saw the photos, and I asked my friend for an honest opinion, and a little later I looked at myself in a bigger mirror – it didn’t settle weirdly at all, so maybe it was the light hitting my eyes in a different angle, maybe it was the cushion that needed a few minutes to settle beautifully. I was scared at first, honestly, thinking I spent all that money for such a weird settling! But gladly that wasn’t the case.
This was taken almost at 10 pm, so 12 hours had passed. The coverage was still pretty great, the way I see it.
This was at around 1 am, so 15 hours after applying the cushion. You can see my skin imperfections showing. I didn’t touch up at all during the day, since I needed to test the 25h durability!
Although you can see the pores showing, you still can’t see their color (their horrible black color as if I didn’t take care of them).
Unfortunately I couldn’t stay up any longer, but a normal day outdoors doesn’t last much longer than that. Of course, with this test you can see it doesn’t really last 25 hours in a row, but with only 1 touch up in the middle of the day it will indeed last those hours. Only after 12h did it start losing its coverage – also due to my greasy T zone.
Although my oily skin started showing at some point, the product didn’t change its settling (lower quality products start settling awkwardly when your pores release oil or sweat, as do matte products no matter the quality of the product) and most of all if you do the cotton test it actually doesn’t lose much product from your face, not even after 12h have passed and oil has been produced. I now understand why my mother always told me to get good quality skin care and good quality makeup bases.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the product, and the price doesn’t burden me at all after I’ve seen these results. I felt really elegant wearing this on my face for those 12h in a row. I will definitely keep an eye out for more Labiotte products!
