[REVIEW] The Face Shop Real Nature Tea Tree Face Mask | 2017 Version

The Face Shop Real Nature Tea Tree Face Mask Review:

As the weather is getting hotter in my country, my skin is immediately being more oily. It makes any blemishes come easier. Thus, I looked for a mask both to control oil and reduce my pimples. I chose tea tree since this ingredient works well on my skin, especially to treat my blemishes. I used tea tree skincare when I got too much blemishes and so far it is very friendly to my skin.

Actually I wanted to buy tea tree mask from Innisfree but it was out of stock, so I grabbed other mask randomly. To be honest, this is my first mask from The Face Shop (I must be busy repurchasing Innisfree and My Beauty Diary masks, haha). At first I didn’t know that TFS has upgraded their mask in new packaging until I saw it on the seller’s pictures. Attracted with the new fresh and classy package, so I got it home. Well, I am talking about The Face Shop Real Nature Tea Tree Face Mask new 2017 version!

The Face Shop Real Nature Tea Tree Face Mask Review:

The packaging is totally different with the old one. I love the new package so much more. White pocket added with tea tree illustration, it’s so simple and fresh. However, the simple packaging reminds me to Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask that I reviewed before, but this one is more bold.

The remain is nothing special. Front side is for the product’s name and the back side is for the descriptions of the product.

I have visited The Face Shop’s official site and their social media but didn’t find any information about the new Real Nature mask 2017 version. Actually I am so curious if the new upgraded edition is formulated with better ingredients and performances than the old version.

But there’s nothing else than how the new package looks like. Does it mean that the upgrading is just for the package? (please tell me more on the comment box if you know something).

The Face Shop Real Nature Tea Tree Face Mask Review

Once I teared off the pack, I sniffed very fresh citrus scents. I didn’t smell any tea tree scent, though. Well, it is like a lot of skincare that bring citrus fragrance and I honestly really like how it smells. It is fresh and not boring to my nose.

The essence of this mask comes in a proper amount. Not as much as Innisfree My Real Squeeze Mask Cucumber on my previous review, but I still had the excess essence in the pocket after take out the mask.

According to the claims, this mask is made for oily skin type. No wonder if the essence has lightweight consistency. It is so runny with transparent-gel texture. It may look like other sheet mask essence in the pictures, but in real I can feel that the essence is one of the lightest texture among the others.

The shape of the mask is like usually sheet mask should be. Eyes, nose, mouth cutout holes are nice and fit on my face. The size is a little bit bigger, but still alright for me. It adhered well on my skin and peeled off easily.

The thickness of the mask is okay. It is quite thin but not ultra thin. If I should compare, this mask is like Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask. The mask itself is made from soft cotton so it feels comfortable on my sensitive skin.

I left on the mask about 20 minutes then removed it and patted the remaining essence gently. The essence absorbed pretty quickly into my skin. But it felt soooo sticky on my face. I’m quite surprised with the stickiness since the essence itself is lightweight and watery type.

It also didn’t give me glowy effect like many other sheet masks but it was still a little bit shiny, though. The moist effect was pretty good and it also reduced a tiny amount of redness on my face.

I expected more from this mask since its content of tea tree extract that is well-known for the benefits to soothe and treat acne prone skin. It is good that the essence is light and not too glowy on my oily skin but the sticky feeling is very bad.

It’s truly too sticky on oily skin. And the ending: I couldn’t stay with the stickiness and finally washed off my face about an hour afterward, haha. I didn’t feel any significant effects from this mask and it’s too far from my expectation.

Maybe it will work better on dry skin type. But I am pretty sure I will not repurchase this mask anymore (maybe will try other variants).
