[Review] Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask Sheet

Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask Sheet Review:

I got myself couple of Papa Recipe masks, one of which is the Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I have used any Korean black mask in the past. While my experience with black masks are mostly good, my range is limited to Taiwanese and Japanese brands so I guess it’s high time to try one from Korean brand. I’ve previously used Bombee Rose Gold Honey Mask and it definitely set the standards high for Papa Recipe. The question is will this variant be able to meet the bar?

Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask Sheet Review:

I don’t usually go crazy over sheet mask scent. I mean sure, some smells nice and I like them but it’s different with Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask! I couldn’t stop sniffing the packet, seriously!

When I open the pack, I was kind of expecting some cloyingly sweet scent but to my surprise, it smells divine! It smells sweet, alright, but really toned down like they did it purposely so you end up crazy-sniffing the packet!

Inside is a black mask that comes with a backing. It was drenched with essence but there’s very little amount when I gleaned the packet. I’m not entirely sure if the essence is meant to be colorless or not. It appeals black to me like how water would look like if you wash a black cloth that stains?

Only the water, this time, is a little viscous. The fit of the mask is decent and it adhered well on my skin too. I had it on for about 30 minutes and it was almost completely dry then. My skin did not react negatively in anyway when I wore this mask.

I noticed that this mask help lessen redness just like the rose gold variant. My face is so plump and soft after wearing this mask! I also noticed that it lessened redness of my face.

Papa Recipe Bombee Black Honey Mask is more hydrating and moisturizing than the rose gold variant. I feel that people with dry skin would benefit most with this mask.

Overall, I like this mask. My only issue with this mask is the material –it feels like its shedding or something and it felt funny especially on my nose. It’s ticklish and a little annoying at the same time.
