[REVIEW] Peripera Color Fit Tint Water Gel 05 Chilipress

Peripera Color Fit Tint Water Gel 05 Chilipress Review:

I was browsing for some lip tints I’ve never tried before and the Peripera Color Fit Tint Water Gel came out with the highest rating. I know Peripera launched this tint a year ago but somehow it never interest me even with the unique packaging and good shade range. Finally I decided to try it after I read so many reviews saying that this is the best lip tint from Peripera.

It comes in 7 shades and I can say the shades are pretty different from other lip tints. They have MLBB and some of brownish colors as well. Usually lip tints are limited to pinks, reds, and oranges shade only so it’s refreshing to see something different.

For me, Peripera lip tints are either a miss or hit. I love their shade range but the performances are so-so. I haven’t found a tint from Peripera that amaze me so I hope this tint will perform better than the other Peripera’s tints on me.

Claims :

+ Vivid Color Fixing Effect: Long-lasting colorant particles adhere to lips with a film former to maintain color all day.

+ After tinting lips with long-lasting colorant particles, the moisture barrier of a film former shields to prevent colorant pigments from being easily removed to maintain them all day.

+ Hydration beyond the limits of a water formula : Smooth, non-sticky and skin-friendly triple moisturizer is applied to a water-dispersible tint formula, which easily becomes dry. It naturally penetrates into skin to maintain a smooth and moist lip surface.

Peripera Color Fit Tint Water Gel 05 Chilipress Review:

Like the Sugar Glow Tint, it comes in a sealed plastic bag but it has no zip lock so you can’t use the bag once you rip it open which is a shame because it has a cute and colorful design. The bottle is quite tall for a lip tint but it’s really travel-friendly.

It has a juice bottle shape and the top part has different color for each shade. The bottom part is transparent so you can see the shade inside and how much product is left.

The applicator has a flat shape but with smaller size in the front part. This shape makes it a bit hard to apply the tint evenly because I can’t reach the corner of my lips and I can’t make a precise line on my cupid’s bow area so I have to use my finger instead to blend it.

Among the 7 shades, I choose shade 05 Chilipress. From the website, it looks like a true chili (dark red with orange based) red color but on real life, it looks more like a terracotta shade but maybe it’s because I have a neutral – warm undertone.

On some reviews I have read, the shade can look different on various skin tones so if you want to buy this shade, it’s highly recommended to read some reviews first to see what the shade will looks like on your skin tone.

The finish is matte and actually it’s quite drying on my lips. I don’t have a very dry or flaky lips but with this tint, I can feel my lips become drier and drier. My lips start to get patchy as well and I can even peel the dry skin off of my lips. I often experienced it with other lip tints but not as extreme as this one. So if you have very dry lips, you may want to avoid this product.

The color is easy to fade off and leaving a reddish stain behind. The stain stays pretty well even after I ate something oily, about 3 to 4 hours but still, it’s too drying for me and it makes me feel so uncomfortable I have to remove it as soon as the color fades.

It’s okay to re-apply and it won’t look patchy but because of the dryness, it’s better if you remove it completely and apply a lip balm before you re-apply this tint.

It has a watery gel texture and it feels wet when you apply it so you need to be careful or it will transfer to your teeth. To avoid this, right after you apply the tint, put your finger in your mouth and kiss it to make the excess lip color stick to your finger .

It’s a bit disgusting I know, but it helps to make sure there will be no transfer on your teeth. I heard this method from a local beauty blogger and it works really well!

Unfortunately, seems like this tint is another no-no for me. It’s too drying for me even after I prep my lips with a lip balm. The color doesn’t stay that long so it’s another minus point from me. I have other lip tints I love more than this one so I can see myself won’t use this tint in near future.
