Peripera Ink Airy Velvet Stick 05 Burnt Tangerine Review:
For the new S/S 2019 collection, Peripera not only released the new Airy Ink Velvet but they also launched the new Ink Airy Velvet Stick. If the name sounds familiar, it is because in the past they have a similar product yet it didn’t promoted as well as their Ink Tint series. Maybe because the huge popularity of the Airy Ink Velvet, they decide to make it in an original lipstick form as not everyone loves liquid lip product so I think it’s a good decision.
If I remember correctly, they have a collection of mini Ink Velvet Stick but it’s not too hyped, mainly because Peripera didn’t advertised it well but this new Airy Velvet Stick, I think they gave PR box to some of Korean popular influencers because I keep seeing reviews of it all over my Instagram (and maybe that’s why I got interested too and end up with purchasing it).
As for the shade range, they have 8 shades to choose from and honestly all shades look pretty but once again, I don’t trust Peripera’s official swatch picture so if you are too, you can look for swatches picture on Instagram and YouTube. The only downside is because most of Koreans have light skin, you will find a hard time in finding a swatch for deeper skin tone.
+ This creamy lipstick collection comes with 6 colors ranging from n*de orange to hot red, delivering vivid color payoff.
+ Marshmallow Root Extract infused to offer a true powdery, matte finish.
+ It smooths out skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines that feels utterly weightless.

Peripera Ink Airy Velvet Stick 05 Burnt Tangerine Review:
For the Airy Ink Velvet Stick, it comes in a plastic box and the overall packaging feels velvety. It has different color according to each shade and honestly I think the size is pretty tiny for a lipstick.
But when I checked, it has 3.6g of product which is a lot more if you compare it to a regular lipstick (the Blooming Lips Talk from Etude only has 3.4g) and the price is quite affordable so it won’t be a burden for your budget.
From those 8 shades, I choose shade 05 Burnt Tangerine. Actually I want to get shade 04 just because I think I have too many similar lipstick shade but after I read the reviews, I think shade 04 will be too pink on my skin tone.
The shade range consists of pinks and orange shades with only 1 red shade so if you are not a big fan of these type of colors, I think you won’t like it.
Peripera describes this shade as a tangerine brown shade but on me, it looks like an orange beige shade instead and it is a bit warmer than what they show on the official pictures but I guess maybe it’s because I have neutral – warm undertone. If you have yellow undertone, I’m sure it will look so good on you!
On fair skin, this shade can look a little bold especially if you wear it on full lips, that’s why I apply it thinly if I want to get a natural look. Actually I think this shade will suit medium skin better because it will look like a perfect n*de color but I still love this shade since I love warm lip color.
On some of reviews I read, they said that this lipstick is a perfect dupe for Mood Recipe by 3CE. I think I can see why they claim it as a dupe because the packaging and the color looks pretty similar.
I have the 3CE one in shade 116 Inked Heart and when I compare it side by side, it’s obvious that the Peripera one is warmer and has more orange undertone while the one from 3CE is more brown.
Some also said that the shade 220 Hit Me Up from 3CE looks similar as well with this shade but since I don’t have it, I can’t compare two of them.
It has a sharp bullet so for the first time, it would be really easy to achieve a precise application. From the outside, I thought it would have a matte and very drying formula like the Mood Recipe one from 3CE but it’s totally different! This one is very creamy, it almost feel like a creamy lipstick instead of a velvet and it has a good pigmentation too.
Thanks to its texture, the color spreads evenly and it doesn’t tug my lips at all. I thought the finish will be creamy because of the texture but on the lips, it turns into a beautiful velvety finish. It doesn’t emphasis my dry parts too so I’m very happy with it.
In term of its lasting power, it’s not amazing but it’s not poor either. It lasts about 4 to 5 hours without eating oily foods. What makes me love it even more is how it doesn’t make my lips feel dry at all.
Sometimes you’ll find some lip products can make your lips feel dry especially the matte and velvet one but not with this lipstick. Even after 4 hours my lips still feel smooth and I didn’t see any flakiness on my lips.
To summarize, I love this lipstick even though it’s not the most long lasting one in my collection. It’s not long lasting but it makes my lips feel smooth and comfortable, things you rarely see from a velvet product especially if you have dry lips.
I would love to repurchase another shade to try and I highly recommend it even if you have dry lips. This time Peripera really did well with their new products!
