Peripera Ink The Gelato 01 Lively Red Review:
I’m surprised by how Peripera keeps releasing a new lip tint collection and this time they (once again) extended the Ink Tint family. If I remember correctly, they launched the Sugar Glow Tint just a few months ago but now they launch another collection called Ink The Gelato.
From the website, the Ink The Gelato is described as a ‘gelato like lip lacquer’ and it has a non-drying matte finish. In this new collection, they have 5 shades as usual and I’m sure they will add more shades in the future if this lip tint sells well on the market (and guess what, they already have 2 new shades for summer!).
Because it’s a very new product, I have a hard time in finding my local seller who sell it but I’m lucky to be able to purchase one when my trusted seller put it on sale. I got mine in shade 01 Lively Red but they also have a coral, pink, orange, and deep red shade as well. From the shade range, I think it’s a basic Korean lip tint shades.
A gelato like lip lacquer which spreads and melts evenly onto your lips. Color sticks to lips with weightless and non drying matte finish.

Peripera Ink The Gelato 01 Lively Red Review:
Among the Ink Tints family, this one has the most simple packaging. Unlike the Sugar Glow Tint and the Airy Ink Velvet, it has a slimmer and taller bottle which makes this tint more travel friendly. Honestly I really like the Sugar Glow Tint packaging but this one is more sleek and in my opinion, it looks like a small bottle of food coloring.
It has 3.5g of product, more than the Sugar Glow Tint but less than the Airy Ink Velvet. But all three has the same price. I don’t mind though because usually lip tints last forever since I only apply it thinly and not everyday.
I don’t know why but the lid feels a little bit loose but so far it’s never accidentally opened by itself so maybe it’s just the design.
It has an ‘S’ shaped applicator, exactly the same with the 3CE Tattoo Lip Tint. Maybe this kind of applicator is on trend because I saw some lip products have that shape nowadays. The applicator shape really helps hug my lips perfectly.
As usual, of course I have to sniff the applicator to check if it has a scent or not because Peripera’s lip tints always have good scents. Turns out this lip tint has a sweet, almost like a candy scent but it’s so subtle you won’t even notice it unless you sniff really hard.
The shade 01 Lively Red is described as a red apple color. It’s definitely brighter than a red apple but on the lips it looks more natural than I thought. With this shade, I’m sure everyone can use it either for day look or for night look because it’s not as bright as on the promotional picture. It’s a true warm red color that will suit many skin tones. I’m not a fan of red lip color but I have to say this shade looks really pretty!
The texture really look like a gel, thick and transparent but the pigmentation is not that good. You have to dip the applicator wand several times to get the true color out. 1 – 2 layers are good for gradient lips but if you want to get the full lips look, you need at least 3 layers.
It feels like there’s no product at all on the wand and it’s hard to spread the product evenly because of the lack of pigmentation. But once it’s there, it’s fairly easy to blend and make a gradient effect on the lips.
Peripera claimed that the finish is non-drying matte but I think it’s more on the velvet side. Not surprised though because usually for Korean beauty, matte means velvet so I won’t expect a true matte finish.
Because it has a velvet finish, I’d suggest you to use lip balm first especially if you have very dry lips. This lip tint makes my lips feel a little bit dry after several hours of wearing and the inner part of my lips fades faster.
After about 3 to 4 hours the color will fade and it leaves a stain but it’s so patchy. It stained the outer part of my lips nicely but on the inner part, it’s really patchy and blotchy.
Overall, this lip tint is not the best lip tint in the world but the shade is really pretty. Because of the affordable price, it’s worth to try but I think I won’t repurchase it just because it makes my lips look patchy.
