[REVIEW] Peripera Peri’s Ink The Velvet #1 Sellout Red | Pearly Night Edition

Peripera Peri’s Ink The Velvet #1 Sellout Red | Pearly Night Edition Review:

I do not want to stop myself on Peripera Pearly Night cushion only, since I can be very greedy for cute makeup products! So yeah, I grabbed this Pearly Night Peri’s Ink Velvet too, hhaha. As I said on my previous review, Peri’s Ink Velvet is a part of the Peripera’s Pearly Night holiday collection. Of course, the renewed packaging comes in an extra cute look. It has a mini snow globe on top of the cap and there is a tiny bear inside! *Once again, cute makeup alert!*

It contains of shade #1-Sellout Red, #2-So Grapefruit, #6-Celeb Deep Rose and #14-Beauty Peak Rose. I owned the shade Sellout Red which I think this is a perfect red for holidays. Well, since I can not wait to show this cute lip tint for you all, let’s get started!

Peripera Peri’s Ink The Velvet #1 Sellout Red | Pearly Night Edition Review:

I already reviewed Peripera Peri’s Ink Velvet in shade Spring Orange and told you that its packaging is cute like an ink bottle. And now, this Pearly Night edition is a hundred times cuter than its cute original version’s packaging. I will let the pictures talk!

Peripera Peri’s Ink The Velvet #1 Sellout Red Pearly Night Edition Review

Aside from the lip ink’s bottle that looks similar with its original version, the Pearly Night edition comes in a pastel pink cap with melting snow on its surface. And the most cutest is a mini snow globe added on top of the cap. What’s more adorable, there is a little bear playing with the sparkling snow inside the globe. Oh, dear!

I fell in love with the packaging since the first time I saw it on Peripera’s Instagram account. I think Peripera Pearly Night Peri’s Ink Velvet’s packaging (and also the cushion’s) is one of the cutest packaging I’ve ever seen, if not the cutest. It looks so dreamy and I never get bored to shake its mini snow globe (I don’t care if the bear getting dizzy, LOL).

A little gripe that may you get from the packaging, it is a bit bulky because of the snow globe on its cap (same gripe with Pearly Night Inklasting Cushion). This lip tint is taller than its original version but it is still handy and not too heavy. Whatsoever, everything is forgiven because it is too cute to be complained.

The outer look maybe different and cuter than its original version, but basically the applicator is same. It has doe-foot brush type with its soft bristles and slanted-skinny tip. The only different experience if you use the Pearly Night edition is the wand seems to be longer than the original version because of its snow globe added on the cap.

Honestly, I will prefer The Airy Ink Velvet to be added in Pearly Night edition. I like the Ink Velvet too, but I use the Airy Ink Velvet more often since it has extra weightless formula and super comfortable for daily makeup. But however the Ink Velvet is a great lip tint as well.

I think the formula of this lip tint is not different with its original version (they did not add new colors too). Luckily, from the 4 shades of Pearly Night edition, I only owned the shade number 6. So, when I bought this shade, it did not seem I paid for its packaging only. Ha!

Peripera Peri’s Ink The Velvet #1 Sellout Red Pearly Night Edition Review

Sellout Red is a classic red color. It is a deep red with blue undertone that instanly gives my skin a brighter look. Its red color is quite bold, so if you do not like a bold look, you can apply it with gradient technique. Both gradient and bold-full lips are perfect with this red color.

I do not have to explain about the formula since Peripera Peri’s Ink Velvet is so famous among us. We already know that Peri’s Ink family is popular for its super pigmented color payoff, awesome staying power, friendly and not drying up formula and, of course, its affordable prices. And this one is not an exception.

The scent of Peri’s Ink Velvet is my favorite compared with other Peri’s Ink series. It smells like a sweet candy. It also has a soft texture like lip cream but more lightweight, so it is really easy to be blended. The finishing result is a bit glossy, not matte. If you want it to look matte, blot with a tissue or set it with translucent powder. Do not worry, after blotting the color will not disappear easily since it has powerful pigmentation.

Staying power? Please do not ask about it anymore. I am always happy when I wear this lip ink a whole day, but desperately trying to remove it at night and always failed, LOL. It may caused by the shade. Sellout Red stays crazily longer than the other shades I tried before (Celeb Deep Rose and Spring Orange). Though it is not transferproof, but its pretty stain sticks on my lips super long.

Normally it needs about 15 minutes to set this lip ink on my lips. But due to my lips condition right now (a bit drier after irritation), the lip ink sets up pretty faster. But thankfully, I do not get dry lips issue during my days wearing this product.

I will always recommend Peri’s Ink family to anyone who loves long lasting lip products. Compared with the Peri’s Ink Original, this Ink Velvet is more moist thus it is a perfect lip tint even if you have dry lips.

The shade Sellout Red is super recommended if you love classic red color. Its red shade is very pretty. And especially for the Pearly Night edition, the cute packaging won’t let you regret buying it!
