[REVIEW+SWATCHES] Peripera Pink Moment Ink the Gelato 08 Blacktea With Milk

Peripera Pink Moment Ink the Gelato 08 Blacktea With Milk Review:

Finally Peripera is back with their latest collection for Fall! With ‘F/W Pink Moment’ as the theme for the collection, they releasing a lot of new colors for their best selling products. They have Ink the Gelato, Ink the Velvet, Ink Color Cara, Velvet Cheek, Color Palette, and Ink Cushion. I always love Peripera’s color range for the fall collection and as expected, the shade range for this collection really blows my mind.

I decided to get the Ink the Gelato and Ink the Velvet because the shades are too pretty. Their shade range this time is full of neutral colors starting from beige, berry, to deeper pink shade which I think will look perfect for every skin tones.

For the Ink the Gelato, they have 5 shades (all neutral shades) but don’t trust the advertising picture because the shade is really different in real life. Luckily they put the ‘real swatch picture’ on their website so I highly suggest you to check it before you buy this tint.

Peripera Pink Moment Ink the Gelato 08 Blacktea With Milk Review:

Different from the older collections, this time they put extra effort in designing the packaging and the outer appearance. If you ever purchased Peripera’s F/W collection, you must’ve known that they rarely change the packaging and just change the shade options only but in this collection, they even give a new name and new concept.

With ‘Pink Moment’ as the name, they totally change the entire packaging and honestly I prefer this design compared to their original one because it’s way more attractive and chic yet feminine at the same time. They change the overall color and it matches fall/autumn vibe really well.

Another improvement is the lid feels more secure and tight but don’t take my words too seriously because I’m not really sure if it’s only me who got the loose lid on the regular Ink the Gelato so if you have one and the lid feels secure, then I think I got the bad one.

The applicator though, remains the same as the older ones. It has a curvy/S-shaped doe-foot applicator which I love because it hugs my lips perfectly and helps in distributing the color evenly. It’s good for my small lips as well because it can reach the corner part of my lips.

It has a similar scent to the old release so I think they didn’t change anything except for the shade and the packaging. I don’t have problem with scented product but if you dislike it, you may not like this one because the scent is sweet and noticeable, especially when you applying it on the lips.

Among the 5 pretty shades (I was confused which shade should I get because every shades are so pretty!) I decided to get the most neutral one, 08 Blacktea with Milk. Peripera themselves describe this shade as a ‘N*dy Coral’ shade which I think a little bit misleading. This shade has more orange and beige tone than a coral but don’t worry, the beige tone in it helps balancing the shade so it won’t look too orange on the lips.

On my fair complexion with neutral – yellow undertone, it looks more on the orange side but on other skin tone, it may look different because of the difference in the undertones but I think this shade will look good on every skin tones. On medium skin it will look like a perfect MLBB color and on deeper skin, I’m sure it will be their perfect nude lip color.

For the older Ink the Gelato, the formula is not my favorite. It’s too patchy and drying for my liking so I’m pleasantly surprised by how I love this one! They have same texture, like a gel and a bit thick. The pigmentation also isn’t that great and you need to apply lip balm first before applying this tint but what I love the most is how it glides so smoothly on my lips! It’s like I’m using a creamy lipstick instead of a velvet lip tint.

It also last pretty well on my lips, even with eating and drinking. The original one start to wear off after 3 to 4 hours but with this one, the color survived perfectly (with eating) for more than 4 hours. I’m happy to see the color still intact even after I eat foods like ice cream and pizza. I don’t know what they change from the ingredients but I can feel this tint sticks on my lips better than the original version.

After 5 hours, the tint starts to fade off but it’s not patchy. It fades start from the inner part of the lips so I can say it fades off evenly and won’t make my lips look like a patchy mess. It also doesn’t make my lips feel dry at all. I keep touching my lips because it feels so smooth.

It does leave a tint but because the color itself lasts pretty well, I think I don’t mind even if it doesn’t leave a tint behind. If the lightest shade lasts this well on the lips, I can’t imagine how long the deepest shade will stay intact on the lips.

Usually the lightest shade will look more patchy and hard to apply but it’s not happening with this color. It performs great, stay pretty long, and feels very comfortable. I really recommend this tint for everyone! The price isn’t that high either so I believe it won’t break the bank if you decide to try it. With this quality now I’m convinced to try another shade in the future.
