Peripera Pure Blushed Liquid Cheek 04 Mood Nude Review:
I think I never tried any blush from Peripera before. After I did a research about their blushes, they only had 1 powder blush I believe but that was way long ago even before Peripera re-branding their brand. Since that, they always releasing either creams or liquid blushes which I’m not too fond of.
But one day I stumbled upon a YouTube video from a Korean beauty blogger reviewing this blush and I fell in love immediately with the color range! And based from the swatch, it looks they have a good pigmentation as well.
They have 6 shades in the collection and for me, they really did well with the shade selection. They have 2 warmer shade such as red and coral, 2 neutral shades such as brownish n*de and beige, and for the last 2 shades they made it in cooler undertone like pink and lilac.
If I’m not mistaken, this is their newest blush so I think you can get it pretty easy from the official store or even from online seller.

Peripera Pure Blushed Liquid Cheek 04 Mood Nude Review:
Actually I’m not a type who wear liquid blush on daily or on special occasion basis. I find liquid blushes take more time to blend and they are not as practical as powder blush. But the colors really attract me and I can’t help but purchased one to try.
When the blush arrived on my place, it has a decent size and it looks a little bit like a nail polish bottle. It is made from plastic which is good if you want to take it for travelling but still, I won’t recommend to bring a liquid blush since the bottle can leak and make a mess everywhere.
It has a white lid with transparent bottle and maybe it’s just me, but it makes the packaging looks twice cuter because you can see the colorful shades from the outside and makes it look like a candy in a bottle.
The applicator is a brush which is pretty similar (again) to a nail polish bottle. I don’t mind the applicator because I use the applicator only for dabbing some product on my cheeks so it doesn’t matter which applicator it is. The brush is soft though and it picks up a lot of product so you may want to wipe the excess blush first before dabbing the blush on your cheeks.
The texture is pretty thin, as expected from a liquid blush but when it’s dry, the formula turns the liquid into a powder finish so don’t worry, this blush won’t make your cheeks glowing and feel oily for all day.
The shade I got is in 04 Mood Nude. Among those 6 shades, I really want to try the neutrals one. They have 2 neutrals but one is lighter while the other is darker. I love both shades but since I have fair complexion, I have to choose the light one since the other one can be too dark on me.
04 Mood Nude is a warm beige color and it is really good for people with warm undertone! If you never tried any orange or beige blush before, I think this one can be your perfect shade to try. It’s not too orange and it’s not too brown either. It can make your overall complexion looks more soft.
On most reviews I watched, they used a sponge to blend the blush and I did too. I tried using sponge from Skinfood and Innisfree but I got a really patchy result! The color looks blotchy and seems like the sponge absorbing the pigmentation so my cheeks look like a mess.
The other way is by using my finger. It works way better than using a sponge but if you hate applying any product with your finger like I do, you will find it’s really annoying and takes too much time. The pigmentation though, is more vivid so if you like pigmented blush, using finger is your only way to apply it.
The bad thing is, it doesn’t blend as easy as powder blush. From what I know, liquid or cream blush is used if you want to achieve a natural or ‘no makeup’ makeup look but unfortunately this blush here can’t be blend and it sets really fast too! You have to blend it immediately or it will stay unblended for the rest of the day.
The lasting power is not that good. It stays only for 2 to 3 hours before it starts to fade off and leaves blotchiness here and there. It makes my cheeks look like they have uneven pigmentation so I’m very disappointed with the performance.
I tried using it as a base for my powder blush and surprisingly, it works way better! It makes my powder blush looks more pigmented (even without having to use a lot of product) and makes my blush shows less texture on my skin. It makes my blush stays longer on my cheeks without looking too powdery or heavy as well. I love using this blush with my favorite Blush Pop from The Face Shop as they have similar tone and this combination works really great.
Overall, I don’t think this blush is worth the price since it’s not that long lasting and really patchy but it works well as a base for powder blush. The thing is, I have to use my finger to blend it and I think I don’t want to waste time blending this blush just to be used as a base especially if I’m in hurry.
