[REVIEW] PINK BY PURE BEAUTY So Smooth Pudding Cream

PINK BY PURE BEAUTY so smooth Pudding Cream Review:

Well, an unfamiliar product name and brand, isn’t it? I don’t know if you ever heard about this product, but I never knew ‘PINK BY PURE BEAUTY so smooth Pudding Cream’ was sold by my usual Korean products’ sellers. Despite its label of ‘Made in Korea’, I found it widely promoted in Watsons Malaysia.

It comes with a big family of PINK BY PURE BEAUTY; pink pore toner, pore perfection peeling pads, pink pore foam cleanser, pink skin so glow essence, and many more. They caught my attention due to their soft pink-and-black packaging and various range of products, so I decided to give ‘PINK BY PURE BEAUTY so smooth Pudding Cream’ a try after spreading the tester on the back of my hand.

PINK BY PURE BEAUTY so smooth Pudding Cream Review:

As I said before, So Smooth PUDDING CREAM has a soft pink packaging with the black part. The cream is packaged in a pink jar with black closure, and it also has an inner lid to prevent leakage and increase hygiene. Apparently, the inner lid somehow has an uncomfortable size compared with the jar’s mouth results in some inconveniences during opening.

For the product’s information, they could be easily found in the secondary packaging, a soft pink-and-black box, which includes product claim, ingredients, volume, cautions, usage directions, and everything in English.

So Smooth PUDDING CREAM comes in a pink, gel-cream type products whose scent is very strong. Like artificial floral scent. I personally think this quite bothers me. However, a gel-cream always has this one benefit: it absorbs fast, and not too heavy for the skin.

I have no difficulties applying the cream to my face, let alone waiting it to absorb properly before continuing my skincare routines. As for the effect, I’d like to say that this product feels nice. It does moisturize my skin, albeit the gel-cream texture, but not too heavy that makes my skin greasy for a daylong.

Only one shortcoming, yet it’s quite annoying, that So Smooth PUDDING CREAM sometimes balls. This happened in my case when it was combined with my Innisfree Daily UV Protection Cream (Mild) which, like usual sunscreen products, has a quite thick texture and heavy impression on the skin.

This could be prevented, however, by sparing more time between the applications of the two. It’s just a little bit inconvenient for me, especially when I was in a hurry.

Does “The cream moisturizes and softens the skin, helping to enhance complexion for a healthy pinkish glow. Its lightweight gel-cream texture leaves the skin supple and refreshed even in humid hot weather”?

Yes, this cream does moisturize my skin just like I’ve mentioned before. For the ‘soften’ claim, I should agree too since soft appearance tends to appear in the well-moisturized skin. In other words, So Smooth PUDDING CREAM moisturizes my skin well, and as the result makes it look softer too.

As it has has gel texture, I could also say that it refreshes my skin even in the humid hot weather, due to its lightweight trait. But be careful only to apply this product sufficiently (a pearl-sized amount, from what the directions say) to prevent greasiness.

However, I don’t agree with the claim of ‘enhance complexion for a healthy pinkish glow’. No difference for the skin tone, though. Still, a brighter skin couldn’t be achieved only in a short time or by using one particular product. It’s more important to keep your skin healthy, while the brighter appearance will follow automatically.

Additionally, it’s important to understand what Gigawhite and Oligo-HA are, as So Smooth PUDDING CREAM emphasizes them quite a lot on the product claim (I’m sure Niacinamide is quite familiar to us).

Gigawhite is a component derived from plant extracts (such as Mallow Extract, Peppermint, Primula Veris, Alchemilla and others) and effectively being the primary active ingredient in skin products that whiten, lighten, and fade and remove the appearance of age spots (a.k.a dark spots, liver spots, sun spots).

Oligo-HA is an ultra-low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, whose main concern is to maximize skin moisturizing. Well, considering the ‘woah’ advertisement about Gigawhite and Niacinamide, I’m disappointed that So Smooth PUDDING CREAM doesn’t do any brightening. Otherwise the Oligo-HA does a very good job on moisturizing.

I think this cream would be safe from any parabens-lanolin-alcohol sensitives. However, cosdna states that the ingredients aren’t that safe, since there are an astringent, a pigment, three different preservatives, even Butylphenyl Methylpropional and Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde (perfumes) with safety index 7 (very harmful).  I don’t really intend to re-purchase this or suggest this product to try, but the choice is always yours.

  1. Although I don’t particularly complain about ingredients and fragrance ingredients, allergens are a definite no no and having pigment that serves no practical purpose is kinda silly. It’s a shame because the cream looks really good and the effects seem quite decent!
