[REVIEW] Etude House Real Art Moisture Cleansing Oil

Etude House Real Art Moisture Cleansing Oil Review

Etude House Real Art Moisture Cleansing Oil Review:

Cleansing oils seemed odd at first to me, the idea of using oil to cleanse your skin just seemed backward or odd. I had first seen this oil cleanser (or an earlier version) in Seoul and I couldn’t quite get my head around it. But at the same time, I became curious about what it would be like to use oil to cleanse skin. Naturally this wasn’t the first oil cleanser I used, but it was the first one that I saw, so, it made sense that at some point I would end up trying this oil cleanser out. Especially when I saw how cheap it was compared to some of the other oil cleansers.

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Lemon Cleansing Foam

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Lemon Cleansing Foam Review

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Lemon Cleansing Foam Review:

What makes a good cleanser? It cleanse your skin well, yet not disrupt your natural skin barrier. Cleansing is the most important and the most fundamental step in your skincare routine. If you do not clean your skin well enough, you’d better throw all of your skincare products to the trashbin because they would do little good to your skin. I must confess that I’ve never really invested time or done any research into my cleanser. *sorry my skin barrier* So this is the final call for everyone to be serious when it comes to choose your appropriate cleanser.

Let’s get back to our cleanser today. I got this from my visit to the newly opened The Face Shop showroom located near my house. The price got my attention at first. It was about $8 for 1 tube of 170ml. Sounds economical. Herb Day 365 cleansing foam is a range of product that offers 5 scents: Aloe Vera, Lemon, Mung Beans, Peach and Cherry. I believe The Face Shop’s target audience for this product is people who have tight budget and want to have an experience with the brand. Nevertheless, I will not buy this product again.

[REVIEW] NIOD Sanskrit Saponins

NIOD Sanskrit Saponins Review

NIOD Sanskrit Saponins Review:

I already have a Holy Grail gentle and low pH cleanser that I have been using for years now. However, I don’t have a stronger cleanser in my routine to deep clean my pores on the days that my skin feels extra dirty. I have always relied on once or twice a week mud mask for that purpose. So I began looking for a cleanser to do just that, and I thought of giving NIOD Sanskrit Saponins a try since I really love their Flavanone Mud.

[REVIEW] Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser

Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Review

Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser was purchased by Cosmeperks.

I will be completely honest and admit I hadn’t heard about Krave nor the blogger Liah Yoo until (almost at the same time) two different people told me about it. I was even attracted to the product before I went and investigated the blogger! When I did finally watch her video on the product I didn’t flinch on my wish to try it. Why?

It’s not only the claims of the product (which I’m sure most of you have heard of by now) but mainly because the introductory video starts with “Are you familiar with the words squeaky clean? Well, that’s one thing your skin doesn’t deserve” – and I thank you so much. I know lots of people who have been into skin care know that, but a lot of starters or people who don’t care that much think that squeaky clean is equal to true cleanness. And also her honesty when she said that it doesn’t really smell good… because they didn’t want to add stuff for that. In the end, scent isn’t important if the product is good and the scent isn’t bad, right?

[REVIEW] Blithe Anti-Polluaging Himalayan Pink Salt Cleansing Water

Blithe Anti-Polluaging Himalayan Pink Salt Cleansing Water Review

Blithe Anti-Polluaging Himalayan Pink Salt Cleansing Water Review:

I for one am not a fan of cleansing balm or oil to be used as my first cleanse because from my experience, both clogged my pores pretty badly. So I could not be bothered to search for the ones that would work for me. Instead, I just stick to using only a designated makeup remover and a water based cleanser for my cleansing routine. I have been doing this for years and my skin have not had any issues with it.

I have never really given much thought on trying out cleansing water (I’m not even sure why!), until I saw this Blithe Antipolluaging Cleansing Water in my local Sephora. Blithe is pretty popular with its Splashing Masks and Pressed Serums, but I have not come across any reviews about its Cleansing Water.

I have to be honest, the pretty packaging totally caught my eye and the fancy word “Antipolluaging” gave me the impression that it does more than just cleansing. It is definitely pretty pricey for a cleansing water, but since Blithe is known for its wonderful products, I thought I would give it a try!

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Oil Specialist Brightening Cleansing Oil with Prune

The Face Shop Oil Specialist Brightening Cleansing Oil with Prune Review

The Face Shop Oil Specialist Brightening Cleansing Oil with Prune Review:

This is the first ever cleansing oil of my life and I got it without checking the reviews or ingredient list whatsoever. I still remember that evening when I got into The Face Shop showroom to get me a decent moisturiser. After getting me a moisturiser, I wandered around and the saleslady introduced the cleansing oil to me.

I believe every girl would understand that situation when you just intended to buy 1 and you ended up buy more than 3. I mean, I believe I am not alone. *feeling guilty to my wallet*There were 3 different kinds of cleansing oils at the time: Pore clean, Deep firming and Brightening. As I needed to brighten my skin tone a bit, I chose the Brightening one.

[REVIEW] Laneige Fresh Calming Gel Cleanser

Laneige Fresh Calming Gel Cleanser Review

Laneige Fresh Calming Gel Cleanser Review:

I received this Laneige Fresh Calming product when I applied for VIP membership in Aritaum store in Korea. For those who don’t know, the store is selling multi-brand beauty products of Amore Pacific such as Laneige, IOPE, Mamonde, and so on. Anyway, The Fresh Calming line comes with four set of products including the cleanser, toner, morning mask and serum.

The key ingredients for the Laneige Fresh Calming line are litchi (lychee) extract to sooth skin and deep seawater to give moisture barrier. The line is specialized for those with combination oily skin, where the skin looks oily but actually lack of moisture inside. So, the product claims to balance the problem that usually occurred at the young skin of 20-25 age. I was running out of face cleanser that time so even though my skin type and the age range are not match I tried this product. Also, it is said as a deep cleanser that removes sebum while hydrates, cleanses, soothes, and purifies skin. Sounds like a bunch of good deals. I’m in! The actual price of gel cleanser KRW 20,000 for 230 ml bottle.

[REVIEW] KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil

KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil Review

KOSE Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil Review:

I don’t know about you but the first Japanese skincare product I heard of was Kose’s cleansing oil. It felt like I accomplished something from my bucket list after I got this one; Even though I chose it only because it’s one if not the most affordable oil cleanser out there (and I’m the thriftiest millennial alive).

Kose’s oils get very mixed reviews, people usually either hate them or completely love them. I thought I’d try my luck with this one. At worst, my acne would get worse (something that happens anyways even if I just drink water from a different glass😒)..

[REVIEW] Dewytree 7 Cut Clean Healthy Cleansing Foam

Dewytree 7 Cut Clean Healthy Cleansing Foam Review

Dewytree 7 Cut Clean Healthy Cleansing Foam Review:

I have recently fallen into like with more natural and flowery brands, so then I thought I should take a break and go back to my dermatological brands for a while. Because in my case the dermatological and natural skin care work the best when used hand in hand.

And since I’m using a lot of herbal stuff lately, I thought my cleanser (since it’s one of my favorite skin care steps) should go back to dermatological. I had used The Clean Lab AC DEW FOAM Cleanser from this brand and loved it, and since I already had it at home I thought it was about time for a skin-premiere. Especially since Dewytree 7 cut is becoming gradually more popular!
