[REVIEW] New 2017 Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Sleeping Pack

Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Sleeping Mask Review

Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Sleeping Mask was purchased by Cosmeperks.

At the exact time when the weather started becoming colder and drier, and my skin started aging, I got lucky enough that Skinfood released this new product for their honey propolis collection! My skin particularly likes honey based products, and winter in Korea is terribly dry. It was just a bunch of happy coincidences when it came to the release of this product. So whereas Skinfood products are usually a hit or miss with my skin, I have now been using it for 1 month without rest and hope my review answers any question you might have!

[REVIEW] J.One Black Jelly Pack

J.One Black Jelly Pack Review

J.One Black Jelly Pack Review:

I admit I had prejudices about this brand and its products. Too much hype makes counter effect on my first opinion while contemplating about the power of good marketing strategy. Alas, I took the bait. And I am glad I did. This product is (I don’t know where to begin from) a moisturizer/sleeping pack/all in one skin enhancer. All I can say is it does its job.

I must however mention its white twin brother J.One Jelly Pack that is also all in one moisturizer but primarily it’s a primer proving it by its sticky texture in purpose of almost impregnating skin before applying any SPF or makeup. That is (besides the ingredients list) the most significant difference between them.

[REVIEW] J.ONE Jelly Pack

J.one Jelly Pack Review

J.one Jelly Pack Review:

I kept seeing this J.one jelly pack coming up in K-beauty reviews, but it never quite caught my attention sufficiently to read the reviews because of its very plain packaging. Neither do the name of “jelly pack” help because I have no idea what it is for.

Then I saw it on the highly popular Korean beauty show “Get it Beauty”. The J.one jelly pack is developed by a popular Korean actress Ha Ji-won, to meet the needs of busy on-the-good women like her. I was enticed by its multi-functions claim of being hydrating, pore-smoothing and especially the tagline used by Ha Ji-won is that it is a “corset for your face” ie. firming and lifting. In addition, the jelly pack is free of ingredients that are generally frowned upon – parabens, mineral oils, sulfates and phthalates. Doesn’t that sounds just like what I need for my complicated skin type?

[REVIEW] Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask

Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask Review

Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask Review:

On a lazy day, what is one make-up item that you will put on your face for a quick perk-me-up? It is likely lip colours. Ironically, the lips are the most neglected part of our face when it comes to skincare routine. We diligently remove traces of make-up on our face, but it is easy to overlook removing our lip colours. After all, when the colours fade from our lips at the end of the day, it is easy to forget.

And so I bear the consequences. I have lost count of how many lip balms I had bought in my attempts to recover my dry chapped lips. It was embarrassing whenever I talked to someone and felt them gazing at my lips, which I am sure it was not because the lips were full and lustrous but instead because they looked disastrous.

I was curious when I came across the Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask as lip balm was the only lip product that I knew off besides lip colours then. Aritaum is by Amore Pacific, whose more popular brands include the better known Innisfree, Etude House, Laneige, Iope, Sulwhasoo etc. In comparison, Aritaum products are at the lower end of the price spectrum. But it is by no means an inferior brand to its more sophisticated cousins.

[REVIEW] A’pieu Mashed Potato Pack

A'pieu Mashed Potato Pack Review

A’pieu Mashed Potato Pack was purchased by Cosmeperks.

The wonders of potatoes. Did you know you can literally grate a raw potato and put it on your face and it’ll be awesome for you skin? So when I saw this pack I didn’t know what it was (here in Korea they don’t always advertise the products for their utilities but for their special points – potatoes in this case) but I knew I would love to try it. A’pieu usually has hit or miss products, but they never once damaged my skin and the good ones are really really good – especially for the price.

So, not knowing what this baby was (which of course you know, because you read the title) I jumped to the store and have been using it ever since!

[REVIEW] New 2017 Dr.Jart+ Water Fuse Hydro Sleep Mask

Dr.Jart+ Water Fuse Hydro Sleep Mask Review

Dr.Jart+ Water Fuse Hydro Sleep Mask was purchased by Cosmeperks.

I do love me some sleeping masks. They protect and nurture the skin during the night, and that is especially important in Korea during the winter, since the weather is cold and extremely dry. However, after getting used to them in the winter… I didn’t want to drop them in the summer! So I was really happy when I tried the Mamonde Calendula Sleeping Mask that is ideal for my skin during the summer. This mask, however, not only did I get to try it during the summer and during “this weather” (almost like Autumn), but also it’s a denser mask which also hydrates! So, after reading all the specs of this mask, can this be my year-round mask?

[REVIEW] Femmue Flower Infused Fine Mask

Femmue Flower Infused Fine Mask Review

Femmue Flower Infused Fine Mask Review:

On my visit to the Femmue show room I purchased a few things. I mean, natural ingredients, flowers, no animal testing – it all sounds attractive just by writing it, imagine when I tested it on the store. So I walked out with it! But I paid of course.

Anyway, this mask I was told works as a wash off mask, but also as a light sleeping mask. Of course I was intrigued. Do you remember when I wrote that you can also use the Mamonde Calendula sleeping mask as a wash off mask? This mask was actually the inspiration for me trying that! So, I decided to use it many many days in a row and in many many different ways, and I think you should read this. If not for the mask then for the new stuff you might find out!

[Review] Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask

Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask Review

Mizon Good Night White Sleeping Mask Review:

As far as I can remember this was the first overnight sleeping mask I bought. Since it was winter at that time I was looking for something hydrating and I liked that this mask was suitable for all skin types and was especially recommended for dehydrated skin. Plus, it was really inexpensive so I decided to give it a try. And I am really glad I did.

[Review] Holika Holika Wine Therapy White Wine Sleeping Mask

Holika Holika Wine Therapy White Wine Sleeping Mask Review

Holika Holika Wine Therapy White Wine Sleeping Mask Review:

I originally bought this product to give as a gift to my mom, since she loves wine and because I also got her to hop on the Asian skin care bandwagon, but she never wanted to try any of my own sleeping packs. I thought it’d be great for her since it contains wine extract that is said to be able to give you glowing skin.
