PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream Review:
PURITO might not be a newcomer in the Korean skincare industry, and its motto to be a safe product somehow enhances people’s curiosity toward them. Note well that the brand PURITO comes from ‘purify’ (to purify natural ingredients to create safe and clean products) and ‘to’ (to go back to basic in order to strengthen and repair collapsed skin barriers). The brand itself had been quite popular since 2018, but I didn’t feel any desires to try it due to some personal preferences.
However, I was quite intrigued to try PURITO products due to its popularity as well as my concern to use products which main ingredient is anything but water. My first experience with PURITO was its Snail Repair Advanced Serum which I bought only a month before I unexpectedly ran out of my daily moisturizer too.
There were two options I considered; PURITO Deep Sea Water Cream and PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream. No particular reason why I choose PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream, so I still contemplate to buy the other one after this product ran out. I sincerely hoped this one wouldn’t be a flash in the pan, or else I wouldn’t try any PURITO products again considering my experience with PURITO Snail Repair Advanced Serum.

PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream Review:
PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream comes in a tube inserted in a PURITO’s typically recycled-material box. All information I needed was provided both in English and Korean in the box, while the tube only contains some significant product info. The tube is dominated with white and green color, which I found nice and representative enough for the product’s name itself.
It’s made from an inelastic material that prevents itself going back to original form. On the bright side, I could control how much product left on the tube, while the con is, it might seem unaesthetic after some months.
The closure is screw-top type, and I personally prefer this to prevent product clot (compared to flip-top cap) and to ensure the hygiene (compared to usual jar packaging). PURITO doesn’t usually seal the box, but you could find the output hole’s protected with aluminium foil seal.
Although the product itself might seem thick and heavy, it’s actually quite gooey and absorbed easily into my skin. If you look at the photos I attached, it was clearly shown that the cream had an opaque-white color, with dense and creamy texture as it didn’t move an inch while being put in the hand.
But once the product was spread on the skin, it actually felt pretty watery but still moisturizing enough. I love how a little of the cream could go for a long way. It also has minimum scent which, I detected, smelled like traditional medicine. Considering it’s free-from-fragrance ingredients, the smell must be Centella Asiatica’s.
Sometimes, the cream gives moisturizing effect, as it provides smooth and healthy skin every night after using only toner and this cream. However, the toners I use are SOME BY MI Galactomyces Pure Vitamin C Toner or COSRX Propolis Synergy Serum which are quite rich of beneficial ingredients.
Using PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream in the morning skincare with PURITO Snail Repair Advanced Serum doesn’t give me nice feeling like I feel at night. I reckon this product does contribute to boost moisture content to the skin, but it’s better to combine it with other products. For an oily skin bearer like me, another moisturizing product would be more than enough, but dry skin ought to add quite a number of additional products to give better result.
After using this cream for some months, I realized that I didn’t face any problems toward my period. My face was free from period pimples, as well as annoying zits even after I missed my cleansing routines. This might also a result of using this cream and toners combo, but considering the claims and star ingredients, I’d like to thank PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream more than other products.
PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream explicitly states to provide ‘skin barrier’, as you could see a small logo printed in the packaging. Furthermore, the advertisement says that Centella Asiatica extract helps to soothe skin problems with an antibacterial effect and stimulate collagen formation.
What’s more, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, and Niacinamide are good to improve scars and strengthen weakened skin barrier. Quite a superb combo, aren’t they? Well, I could say so. Flashing back to the experiences with my period pimples and zits proves what Purito cream does to my skin barrier.
Even so, don’t rely on this product to provide moisture to your skin. Well, couldn’t entirely blame PURITO since it didn’t even proclaim any moisturizing effect on the product claim. To sum up, this cream is perfect for anyone looking for skin’s aid, especially if you suffer from pollution or have sensitive skin that needs promising rescue. But if moisturizing effect is your main concern, I don’t suggest this one for the optimal ministration.
Still, PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream contains ingredients that are relatively safe for any skin condition. CosDNA states no harmful components, so considering the safety (not the main effect), even a dry-skin bearer could have a go with this one.
