Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun Review:
Purito is a brand that I probably wouldn’t have encountered if it wasn’t for Instagram’s Asian beauty community. Unlike famous brands like Innisfree, Etude House, Tony Moly etc. which have both physical and online stores, I believe Purito products are only available online. Nonetheless, this didn’t stop them from being one of the most loved brands in the community.
Their philosophy is to use clean ingredients to restore the skin barrier. While this is mostly the case for Korean brands, Purito definitely takes this motto by heart. My favorite products from them are from the Green Level line in which all the products have ingredients with an EWG rating of 1-2 (green, hence the name). Basically, these low values of EWG rating means that the ingredients used are non-irritating. This makes the products from this line ideal for sensitive skin types.
Ever since Purito released this sunscreen, I’ve always been intrigued to find out how incredible it is since everyone raves about all the other products from this line. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now so I’m finally ready to drop my verdict.
1. To those who have experienced headaches due to strong sunscreen scent should switch to PURITO’s refreshing natural lavender essential oil.
2. We recommend PURITO Safe Sun if you have experienced a stuffy feeling after applying makeup over sun cream.
3. Safe UV sunscreen made of only EWG Green Level 1-2 ingredients.
4. Comfortable UV sunscreen for all skin types.
5. Mild, but effective at blocking ultraviolet rays (SPF50+ PA++++)
6. Improved the sore-eye and white-cast effects, which are the disadvantages of commercial UV sunscreen

Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun Review:
Let’s start with the packaging. The sunscreen comes in a plastic squeeze tube container with a smooth matte finish. It’s incredibly light and compact which makes it ideal for travel. I find that this packaging also allows me to fully control how much product I want to dispense (as a rule of thumb, use 1/4 teaspoon amount for the face and neck).
Most of the sunscreens I’ve tried before have this strong and somewhat plasticky smell which I hated. Fortunately, this one is different. It has a fresh herbal and citrus scent which I adore so much. The smell disappears shortly after application though so people who are scent-sitive shouldn’t worry about it.
My favorite aspects of this sunscreen are probably its consistency and feel on the skin. To me, it’s just like applying a gel moisturizer. This sunscreen easily spreads on the skin, feels super lightweight, and leaves ZERO white cast! This gives a healthy glow but doesn’t make my skin feel greasy or congested at all.
I believe that it also helps regulate my sebum production throughout the day. For someone who has oily but dehydrated skin, I think I’ve finally found my perfect match. Makeup also sits wonderfully on top this sunscreen which makes it a great base.
This sunscreen protects the skin from both UVA (PA++++, highest you can get) and UVB (SPF 50+) rays using chemical UV blockers. Personally, I used to be afraid of using chemical sunscreens because they tend to irritate my skin but this one didn’t. Moreover, I actually think this helped calm my skin which can be attributed to the centella asiatica extract it contains.
So overall, I’m head over heels in love with this sunscreen that I may never try a different one again. In fact, I already ordered backups (yes, more than one!) of this. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. If you’re someone who skips sunscreen because they tend to make your skin greasy or oily, you should definitely give this one a go. Believe me, you won’t regret it!
