[Review] Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner

Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner Review:

I have been looking for the mist that will alleviate my skin’s need to get thirsty, angry and dull during the day. I swear I don’t have the same skin in the morning and in the afternoon. It’s two creatures of different kinds. One is nice, supple and well nourished, and the other is, well, nothing of that.

Claims:

All my prayers were answered when I saw this:

“THIRST-QUENCHING AND BALANCING

A cooling, incredibly hydrating and convenient misting toner made up of 91.9% coptis japonica root extract, a powerful antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory, energizing and nourishing properties, Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner quickly absorbs to hydrate and refresh skin. Perfect as a toner in your regular skincare routine or as a mist anytime throughout the day (goes over makeup flawlessly). Made with only necessary ingredients, Pyunkang Yul is always free of artificial fragrances, dyes or irritants.”

My Skin Type: sensitive, rosacea, aging

Pyunkang Yul Mist Toner Review:

This is my first Pyunkang Yul product and I was so curious how it will perform. All the good signs were there: minimalistic ingredients list, no fragrance or other irritants and the brand that leans on traditional Asian medicine.

This product is watery fluid and it’s mostly coptis japonica (goldthread) root extract (91.9%) – powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. It has no scent, no colour and is really watery. I use it couple of times a day as a mist, mostly afternoons to give my skin the strength to endure until the evening routine.

And this stuff is great! It also contains sodium hyaluronate as the humectant and it is really hydrating product. It actually leaves skin drenched. In a good way.

My skin gets also drier in the summer than the winter – hot, dry, seaside air isn’t a friend of my skin. Ironic for someone living near the sea. But with little guy used throughout the day, things are changed now.

Not just my skin can now easily cope with the day but it really is less red, less tired and overall it looks better.

I have been using this mist for little more over five weeks and I can really see overall improvement. I like to have it with me all the time so I keep buying little bottle (100 ml/3.3 fl.oz.) that can easily fit any bag or purse.

I don’t want to be without this one ever. I recommend it to anyone with the same skin concerns like me – or as the official recommendation is:

“Best if:
– You easily get warm and sweaty
– Your skin tends to be shiny and oily
– You have enlarged pores and are prone to breakouts related to excess sebum”
