[Review] Aritaum Sugarball Cushion Cheek Color Juicy Peach (No 04)

Aritaum Sugarball Cushion Cheek Color Juicy Peach (No 04) Review:

A Korean look will not be complete without a slight blush tinting on the cheeks. This super cute and tiny product is from Aritaum. I actually intrigued by how they name this product as “Sugarball”. It is actually very creative and eye catching. Plus, the “cushion” claim in the packaging made me interested to use this ever since Althea announced this shade as a part of their “Romantic Date” box last April.

This product is not my first Aritaum’s product. I am very impressed with their Pore Master Primer and is famous for being the dupe of Benefits’ Porefessional. So, I was really curious about the performance of this cheek blusher and start to use this product to make a natural daily look for almost 2 months! For blusher itself, I never really try a blusher before and only use a lip tint on my cheek to function as a blusher.

On the website, the Sugarball Cushion Blusher claims to be a cushion blusher in a creamy texture that melts smoothly for hydration and a vivid color and it comes with a cushion puff to create a cute accent on the Apple Zone.

How to use:

Use the puff to take a good amount of the cream blusher, softly pat the puff on the cheekbone or around the apple zone area.

My Skin Type: I have an oily-skin and sometimes it can be a bit dull and dark during my period. I usually got some acne during my period too.

This product was released for the first time around 2015. Aritaum released two different types of this line which is the cushion one and the velvet one. In 2017, Aritaum repackaged this product with a little change in the design of the packaging. In the previous version, there was a slight difference with the newer one. The bottom part of the previous packaging was black and the name is “Sugarball Cushion Blusher” instead of “Cheek Color”.

The look of this blusher looks exactly like your usual BB Cushion but in a way smaller size. It is very handy and travel-friendly. The product comes with a mirror and cushion puff  and the puff is really small that I could only fit two fingers whenever I want to apply this on my face.

Alright, so far, I believe everyone could guess from the name itself that it is “cushion” blusher. You might probably think that this product will have a cushion with fluffy cushion inside containing abundant amount of creamy liquidy blusher. But, hold on.

I was pretty shocked to know that it is a cream blusher. I was asking myself where the cushion is at first. So it is only a cream blusher with a cushion puff as an applicator. Nice. But then, let us talk about the performance of this blusher despite some people might be disappointed with the absence of the fluffy cushion.

As the claim said, the texture of the blusher is really creamy and the color is very vivid. You might not see it in the picture but when I take some of the product using my finger, the color is super pigmented. As shown in the picture, the above color on my hand is the swatches using the cushion puff applicator, meanwhile the other one was using my finger. I might say that it will be better to use this product using the cushion puff as the color will be more even and soft rather than using fingers to apply this on your face.

The blusher has a little scent to it. It has a faint floral scent but it is barely noticeable unless I put it near my nose and actually sniff the product. Once I apply the product on my face, it leaves a dewy finish and gives your cheeks a natural flush and glow. I personally put on some loose powder right after just because I prefer a matte look since I have an oily skin type.

I usually apply the blusher in the morning or afternoon when I am about to go out and the color will still there after being out for like 8 hours or more. The longevity actually depends on whether or not you use base make-up and loose powder. But it is a pretty much great product when it comes to longevity.

After all, I like this product and how it lived up to the claim (vivid color, creamy texture, provides hydration, etc). The thing is, it would be better if there is a real spongey cushion inside. A pressed cream blusher will never suit the name of the product instead by just adding a cushion puff applicator.

I also think this blusher will fit people with dry skin even better because it provides a good amount of moisture rather than a powder type blusher (it does not mean people with oily skin type might dislike this product though!). But then, the color that showed up on the cheeks successfully giving that natural cute K-beauty look.
