[Review] IOPE UV Shield Sun Sensitive Cream SPF 25 PA++

IOPE UV Shield Sun Sensitive Cream SPF 25 PA++ Review:

Every year I tend to realize that I’m fed up with my old sunscreen and try to find something new, something that will turn on that wow factor. OK, every year I do find something like that and stick to it until the next summer. Then the chase is on again.

Except this one. I returned to this one this year again. It’s IOPE UV Shield Sun Sensitive Cream. This one has me.

IOPE is one of the Amore Pacific Corporation brands and is oriented on developing skin care systems for aging skin. With the wide array of make up products also, they are proven strong, premium cosmetic brand since their beginning in 1999.

IOPE UV Shield Sun Sensitive Cream SPF 25 PA++ Review:

Packaging of this nice cream (see what I did there?) is sleek, white tube typical for IOPE design. Although, if you are sensitive to silicones, this probably wouldn’t be the best choice for you. But still, silicones used in this formulation are the reason for this super nice spreadability, and also nice, sheen finish. Well, about that… If you are on the oilier part of the spectrum, I am not sure if you would appreciate dewy finish that this cream has.

Niacinamide and Panthenol are my favourite guys in the ingredients list. Not to mention that all the sun protection in this cream comes from physical UV filters of Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. So, no worries there for chemical sunscreens used.

When applied, this cream is really white. And I mean white cast on your face like there’s no tomorrow. Think childish days on the beach with your mom and dad. That white face. But, in about five seconds it completely sinks in and leaves nothing but the nice sheen. And it has no fragrance whatsoever.

For the physical sunscreen, this is amazing. And this is why I love this cream so much. It isn’t high sun protection though, but it is perfect for me and I use it all year long. Doesn’t cause any breakouts and my skin is very tolerable to this one.

Did it endure the whole day on the beach? Didn’t test it for that, but I like having my cup of coffee on my very sunny terrace and my face wasn’t burned or even flushed after that. This cream is for my everyday use – my life-in-the-city cream. For the beach or any outdoor whole day activities, I rather choose my other SPF 50 sunscreens.

As I said before, my skin is very prone to dehydration due to my rosacea and this cream gives me that dewy finish with strong, several hours lingering moisturization effect that I am not sure if someone with oily skin would care for. For you guys with dry, normal, or dehydrated skin probably would be just fine.

I take it off in my PM routine with oil first cleanser or anything in my cleansing arsenal with no problems whatsoever.

Just to make sure, I have other sunscreens and of both kinds – physical and chemical and use them depending on the state my skin is in, or the weather (dry, humid). And I mean the whole year round – 365 days no matter whether summer or winter. This cream is for my dry days without many outdoor activities. Just anti age purpose.

Would I repurchase this sum cream? Oh, I will so much repurchase this cream. Already have.
