Romand Juicy Lasting Tint 06 FigFig Review:
December last year, I got the opportunity to try the famous Romand Zero Velvet Tint and even though it has good qualities, I find it a tad bit too drying for my lips. Months after, I saw that Romand has renewed their Juicy Lasting Tint. I’m not too sure if they reformulate it as well or just placed it in a new packaging, but I still curious and finally got the chance to try it.
From the Juicy Lasting Tint, I expected to see a shiny tint with plumping effect to make a juicy lips look. The reviews I read before were divided, some love it while the others weren’t too fond of the tint. I don’t like glosses but I do like shiny lip tint because they make my lips look plumper and they also doesn’t make my lips feel dry hence I really want to try this tint since long ago.
I don’t expect the tint to last very long since it’s more on the shiny side so I won’t judge it by the long lasting-ness but I hope it will perform well and look good on the lips. If you saw the official swatch pictures, they are really pretty so let’s see if it will live to my expectation or not.

Romand Juicy Lasting Tint 06 FigFig Review:
There’s nothing special about the tint from the outside but somehow, I think the bottle design looks really simple yet chic. I love cute and unique packaging but I love simple packaging as well. Romand makes their lip tint in similar packaging but in my opinion each of their lip tints have their own characteristics based on the outer packaging. I don’t like the Zero Velvet Tint bottle as it’s too dull for my liking, so I’m happy to see that this time Romand makes more colorful packaging.
On the inside, there’s a doe-foot applicator with a slanted shape. Usually with kind of shape, for me it doesn’t make the application becomes easier or harder, just so-so but thanks to the great pigmentation, I only need a several swipes, without dipping the applicator back into the bottle, to achieve a full pigmented lips.
There are 9 shades to choose from and all color is so pretty I have a hard time in choosing only one! The shades range from pinks, reds, oranges, browns, and even purple but no worries, even though the shades sound bold, because of the texture it will still look natural even if you are not used to wearing a bold shade like purple and deep red.
I got the shade 06 FigFig. Based on their website, FigFig is a chic MLBB color that will make your lips look lovely. Actually I want to get the brownish shade but for a texture like this, I prefer a more reddish shade so my lips will look healthier and plump. I’m not wrong, this shade looks very pretty on the lips!
When I put it on my lips for the first time, I thought the shade will look too deep for me but after blending it, it gives me a beautiful purplish red color that still look natural yet give my lips some color. If you want to try a deep shade but too scared to try it, I will suggest this shade to try.
I have a fair complexion with neutral – yellow undertone so the shade looks deep on me but if you have deeper skin tone, it will be a perfect MLBB shade and if you have cool undertone, I think it will look more like a mauve color on you. My friend who has a very yellow undertone try it too and it looks so good on her so I can say that this shade is perfect for every skin tone with various undertones.
As its name, this tint has a glossy finish that can make your lips look more plump and juicy. I have small lips so these effects are very appreciated but if you already have plump and smooth lips, I think this will look gorgeous on you.
Judging by the official swatch picture, I’m guessing it has a blurring or smoothing effect because the lips on the picture doesn’t have a lip wrinkle and when I try it on, I’m pleasantly surprised to see that the tint lives up to my expectation! It covers my lips fully with its pigment and it doesn’t emphasis the dryness on my lips at all! On my swatch picture, I didn’t apply any lip balm before so imagine how excited I am to finally find a beautiful lip tint that won’t dry out my lips.
I try the tint to make both gradient and full lips and I will say that this tint is not the best to use to make a gradient lips. First, it’s because how slippery the formula is (well, it’s a glossy finish) so it’s hard to make a gradient effect, on the picture I have to wear a concealer around my lips and second, it beats the purpose to make your lips look plump (because gradient lips can make your lips look smaller instead) so I suggest you to use it to make a full lips look only.
It has a glossy finish but it also gives my lips a blurring effect as well! It makes my lips look like it has a shiny veil that covers all of my imperfection. Even though it’s glossy, it doesn’t feel sticky at all but it will give you a slippery feeling until the tint sets into the lips. After it set, the glossiness will wear off but it won’t make your lips look dry and matte.
It’s not transfer-resistant but it stays on my lips pretty well. Usually a glossy tint like this wear off easily but surprisingly this tint doesn’t because it will leave a reddish stain and the stain lasts really well on the lips. It will fade a bit after eating oily foods but I don’t think it’s a big deal because my lips still look good even though it’s losing its glossiness.
I love this tint so much and I think this tint is way more worth the money if compared to the Zero Velvet Tint. If you have dry lips, I’m sure you will love this tint. It’s not too expensive either, so it’s a good tint to try if you want something moisturizing yet long lasting at the same time. I guess I will buy more shades in the future!
