Romand See Through Matte Tint 03 Through Coral Review:
After the Juicy Lasting Tint, once again I decided to spend my money on the latest tint from Romand, the See Through Matte Tint. It’s been so well-advertised on Instagram and I also heard about them from Korean beauty influencers on Youtube. Most of them were saying that the tints have good qualities, not drying, and pigmented so me, as a girl who is easy to persuade, finally bought it to try.
If compared to the Zero Velvet Tint, I think it’s pretty obvious that these 2 have different formula but most of the time Korean version of velvet and matte are not that different. If you saw some reviews on both products then you will notice that both finishes are looking very similar. The Zero Velvet Tint is not my favorite so I hope the See Through Matte Tint will perform better and longer on my lips.
These days I saw most Korean online shops who did worldwide shipping are selling Romand products including this tint so it’s easy to find if you want to try it too. The price is pretty affordable so it’s still budget-friendly.

Romand See Through Matte Tint 03 Through Coral Review:
Because Romand didn’t provide any information in English on their website, I didn’t know what they mean of ‘see-through and translucent finish’. Some influencers said that it’s only because the tint has a transparent lid while some said that the finish is light and airy so you can call them as ‘see through’.
Out of Romand tints I’ve ever tried, this one has the best packaging. It has a rubbery matte feel to it with a transparent lid. I think it’s my first time seeing a lip tint with this type of lid. It also has a nice weight and it gives the tint a luxurious feel to it.
On the inside, you will find a ‘pinched’ style doe-foot applicator and it picks up a good amount of product so I don’t have to dip it inside over and over. The tip is too rounded for my liking though because I have a hard time in applying the tint with a precise application but I can use a lip brush or my finger to blend it out to achieve a more neat application.
Out of 6 shades, I got one in coral shade. Romand claims this shade as a ‘warm tone, soft coral’ and I do agree that this shade is very warm. It will suit every skin tone with warm undertone as it has a strong orange undertone in it. On me, it looks like a reddish orange coral color and I do really like it! It brightens my complexion and even though it’s a bright color, it is still wearable at the same time.
It has a mousse texture and creamy feeling to it but not like what they claim, the finish is more on the velvet side, not a matte. It also has a good pigmentation, as expected from a ‘supposed-to-be’ matte tint but it doesn’t feel heavy at all! Because of the creamy texture I thought it would feel a bit heavy but in fact it feels lightweight and set pretty fast on the lips.
At first, it’s a bit hard to blend the tint to make a gradient effect because it’s too creamy but after it set on the lips for a few seconds, it starts to ‘melt’ and gets easier to blend. Once blend and set, the tint is transfer-resistant but it doesn’t emphasis any dryness or fine lines on my lips.
It doesn’t leave stain on my cup but once you eat oily food, it will make the tint fade faster. Without eating, you can get a full 5 hours of wear without any fading at all.
Because it’s long lasting, you will need a good remover to remove the tint completely from your lips. I used my favorite Bioderma but it still takes an effort to remove it so most of the time I used a cleansing wipe then continue with a cleansing water.
Overall I can say that I really like the tint. It performs well on me and if I have to be honest I would ditch the Zero Velvet Tint for this one because this one works very well on me.
The only thing Romand need to improve is maybe the naming of their product? Personally I find that the Zero Velvet Tint has more matte finish compared to the See Through Matte Tint (and the See Through on has a velvet finish!) but maybe for a Korean standard, this finish can be categorized as matte.
I would recommend this tint to try as it’s long lasting, affordable, easy to find, and not drying at all. I just wish they will make more shades in the future (some more neutral colors maybe?) because I will definitely repurchase if they do so.
