[REVIEW] Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule

Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule Review:

The weather where I live has been shifting dramatically from morning to evening. It can get quite cold and dry in early morning, then in the afternoon, the temperature goes up to over 30 degree Celsius, which is not good for your skin. Moreover, I have just been through a major acne period due to my stress from work. Therefore, I am in good need of some products that can help soothe my skin and improve pigmentation. I searched for ingredients that aid in healing your skin and found Centella Asiatica. Originated and developed by Skin1004 in Korea.

Skin1004 claims to use mainly (and sometimes “only”) raw materials that the skin crave for. Each and every ingredient presented in the products offered by Skin1004 has been selected for being the most gentle and safe for skin. All of the ingredients that merely for texture or scent are left out. At first the brand was well-known for its Zombie Pack, a wash-off mask. Recently, there is a trend of Centella Asiatica ampoule in my country. Everybody is talking about its impressive ingredient list and “magic” efficacy. Being a new skincare junkie, I knew that I could not stay out of this craze. After some research on the website, I decided to buy a bottle and ready for experience.

– Soothes redness

Centella asiatica extract 100%

Below is some of my in-depth thoughts after more than 3 weeks using this product:

Pros:

The ingredient list (Duh!) :

It cannot be more simple! The shortest ingredient “list” I’ve ever read. “Centella asiatica extract 100%” – it seems that line shouts out to me that “All you need is here.”

Centella Asiatica has been a renowned ingredient used in Korean skincare products. This ingredient has recognized for hundred of years for its healing effect. For generations, active ingredients in Centella Asiatica has been known as medication that soothes skin damages by strengthening the skin cell. It is also hydrate and reduce uneven skin tone.

Elegant packaging :

The bottle is made from glass and you could hold it firmly with one grasp of hand. At the first time I hold it in my hand, I could not believe there was 100 ml of product. There must be more (I even checked the bottle again to make sure that I got a 100 ml bottle). Every information you need is printed on the package. The pleasant green and white color of the package blend together. At that moment I agreed, “ Love at first sight does exist.” I love the product the moment I see only the package haha.

Regarding the bottle itself, I am impressed by the long pump and the plastic ring they attached at the top of the bottle to leave the residue product back in the bottle. Again, it seems even the bottle design shouts out to me, “All you need is here.”

Quick absorption:

The texture comes almost watery. After applying the product on my face and blending it in 30 seconds, my skin absorbs the product quite quick. It leaves no greasy sticky behind.

It does what it claims :

Especially it successfully soothed my skin. Having been through a quite bad acne period, I need some product that can calm my skin and can improve my skin texture. After 3 weeks, my pigmentation has not faded much, but the skin texture has improved. Because of acne treatment products I used, I kind of dried out my skin and this product did help soothe and moisturize to help enhance my skin texture.

Price:

I bought this for $16 on Amazon. This is a reasonable price for a product of this kind. Having used it for 3 weeks (day and night) but I’ve just used up one third of it.

Cons:

– Irritation: Nope.

– Dry out my skin: Nope

– Clog my pores: Nope

– Break my skin out: absolutely nope.

Not sure if there are any. So far so good. Although it was not “that” magical as advertised (well marketing), I still love it and will try to use it up. Who knows what might happen at the end of the journey eh.

Tips: They did not tell you to keep this product in the refrigerator. However, since there are no preservatives in the product and the changing temperature in my city, I am keeping it cool in the fridge. The texture still blends well (plus some extra cool sensation upon application – Yey!)

Conclusion:

My overall score on the scale of 10 for this ampoule would be 8. I would consider repurchase this but next time, I will find someone to share using this product with me. Since I think it is 100% natural, it should be used up as fast as possible.
