[REVIEW] SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream Review:

Beauty trends may revolve and changes every now and then, including the star ingredients in beauty products. There were times when almost all brands suddenly developed products with snail mucin, aloe vera, galactomyces, etc. Looking back in 2018, I think centella asiatica is the star ingredient! So many beauty brands invented new products with centella asiatica in their formulation and it became one of the selling points. No wonder, centella asiatica (also known as tiger grass or ‘pegagan’) has been famous for generations as medication that soothes skin damages, hydrates, and reduces uneven skin tones.

With all the hype marketing, of course I fell into Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream when it was launched! I couldn’t find many reviews on this moisturizer because Skin1004 is more famous for its Madagascar Cenetella Asiatica ampoule and whenever I Googled, reviews for the ampoule popped up. From the few reviews I found, they said Skin1004 Cream is lightweight and non-sticky, so as a normal-to-oily skin bearer, I chose to go with it. A week later, Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream arrived to my house.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream Review:

Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream came with white and light green box with some drawings of tiger grass leaves. The product itself is packed in a light green tube, similar to its box, with a white flip-flop cap. The colors are very calming and look aesthetically beautiful. It has 75g volume. Product information is written in English and Korean.

The tube doesn’t go back to its original shape after squeezed. So, after using this for a long time, the tube may suffer some squeeze marks and not look pretty anymore.

On the bright side, this kind of tube can tell how much product left inside. The cap also sturdy enough to keep any product from spilling even when I bring it travelling in my bag. The ingredients analysis by cosDNA shows only level 1 safety index, and the product itself claims that it’s safe for sensitive skin.

The cream is white-colored and has strong centella asiatica scent. I personally enjoy the scent since it kinda reminds me of traditional Chinese medicine.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica Cream Review

Texture-wise, it is very soft, lightweight, glides easily, and melts on my skin like butter. It’s more like a lotion than cream. Not heavy at all, absorbed it in no time, and leaves no tackiness. It has somewhat dewy finish.

Before I started using Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream, my skin wasn’t in a very good condition. My forehead and cheeks area were dehydrated and rough that I could feel the texture when I washed my face. After using this for almost a week every night and day, I could tell my skin is in a better condition. The rough area felt softer and smoother.

Now I have been using this for 2 months and my skin has been loving it! It provides enough moisture to my skin without leaving sticky feeling. When the weather is dry, I even put two layers to provide more moisture, and my normal-oily skin doesn’t feel oily or heavy.

In conclusion, Skin1004 Centella Asiatica Cream satisfies me. It is lightweight yet moisturizing, smells nice, and non-sticky. It also has healing properties and safe ingredients which are suitable for irritated or sensitive skin. I think it suits people with normal to oily skin better, since people with drier skin might find this not moisturizing enough and have to put on extra layer.
